Yeah this is awesome! Lol she still generated more profits than females who have sold better. Maybe not promoting ayu too heavily this year saved a lot cost so there's always two sides to a coin.

Ayu's promo this year actually wasn't small, I mean 7 releases - that isn't a small number. But they were mostly fluff releases (extending an already released track for a single, two remix albums, a best album etc), so she lacked in new material, but certainly not material in general. The highest profit generator this year had to have been Namie; she had the least amount of investment from Avex with the highest return - thats how you measure profit.

Yeah but that's the cost of producing the product itself. Stuff like advertisements, tissue packets, putting up posters everywhere seems to have been toned down, that's why i'm guessing they managed to save some costs here and there. I'm surprised also that namie was not more profitable than ayu, but at least that's what the figures tell us. I'm guessing A Complete was a whopper profit generator but so was Best Fiction... It's weird.

Exile just pawned everybody... It's incredible. I'm not interested in them also but i've never given their music a shot so i don't know how good they are.

yeah, EXILE are just boring, 5 of them arent even musicians o.0(dancers dont count as musicians to me), they should change places with high and mighty color, they need attention, they at least HAVE some talent
congrats to ayu, quite big! i expected her not to be in the top 5

That's what I've been saying though - Namie was the highest profit generator for Avex (other than Exile), not Ayu. This list does not show profit.

What great sales considering there wasn't much new material aside ftom MW, Green/Days and a few 10th anniversary versions. I'm so happy for Ayu!!

Wow, that's amazing. I'm sure EXILE will be on top for a while, too.

Avex must be REALLY happy right now to have at least 33.57 BILLION yen flowing in (an "oku" is 100 million, right?). That's not including their concerts, either.

2nd in terms of money generated from sales, and no 5 on that list in terms of total sales.
The No 4 thing was for karaoke requests.
