Umm...that's not right...HOW COULD ARASHI OUTRUN AYU!!? They're just way too popular than Ayu - do we really need some kind of an antitrust lawsuit!? (About the antitrust lawsuit, just kidding...)

ooh 20K more! well... if the DVD would have do like the other it would have been 40K more LOL
so it's pretty good!! soo good!! I'm impressed how her DVD are doing better every year... I remember how well CD 07-08 did on charts... better that AT 07 I think! I wonder if AT09 will reach 90K!! her DVD sell around 30K more after the first week...

Maybe not... And unfortunately, with Arashi releasing their 30th single in a month, it could be Arashi's year AGAIN...
Maybe next year it will DEFINITELY be Ayu's year - because I could be estimating that her 50th single will happen next year, maybe NOT in time for the 2010 holiday season... And I don't know why Ayu's sales seems to be quite low compared to other newcomers...age bias? After all, she's 31 years old (and a half) and only has one effective hearing ear... (Even though Arashi is really aging also, with members almost 30 years old, but it seems that it's a Johnny's group, and it's still so popular, but we don't know when the Johnny's era could end, and maybe another group from somewhere else could dominate over the Johnny's artists; I'm quite getting a bit tired of the Johnny's artists right now, including Arashi... Nevertheless, this year for me has been searching for new artists, such as miwa and Sayuri Sugawara (Sayuri's releasing a single on the same day Arashi's releasing their "Monster" 30th single), and I hope they can peak out and can perform like Ayu and other popular artists in the future. It's like planned obsolescence of some sort...) Last edited by Bigtop; 21st April 2010 at 03:15 AM. |

I'm thinking that is most likely the case, otherwise I'm not sure what would logically account for such a large sales increase compared to her past DVDs. Still though, those are very nice sales for her however yeah, I didn't think she was going to be able to beat Arashi's second week.

Maybe japanese people just liked the show more than the usual...^^
in the end of the day, that's was her longest tour, and last year Ayu was heavily (to her actual standarts) promoted as a performer... Best of CDL wasn't counted, as it was part of A Best 2... not sure if At09 wasn't seen as part of RnRC |

ayumi doesn't have a #1 DVD streak to begin with so I don't think she will mind having #2 for the AT09 & is that a crime for her not to be #1 in at least something ? === anyway at least it's official that the album's #1 & at the no. of achievements ayumi has gotten with regards to it sales are so secondary to me & for those who're so sales conscious & etc , I say put a sock in it the album's officially another #1 for her & for me that's all its matters

We don't really have to matter about the DVD; what people really matter about are the singles and the albums...

I really think people place way too much emphasis on rankings. Rankings are fickle and depend COMPLETELY on what you're up against. Sales are a more reliable way to measure popularity, and even those don't really matter that much XD. Let's be happy she's still making music, with the added bonus that she's also still doing well! |

^ yeah that's the spirit in thinking , I can never understand why people put so much emphasis on sales , ranking & etc
it's not everyday you still can get to see a female solo artiste with long lasting power to last this long in this fickle minded industry unrealistic people should do a reality check on themselves
