Yeah, I shouldn't feel effeminate. If people ask me who my favorite singer is, I'll just say Hamasaki Ayumi. People who asked me that never had a problem with me saying a name of a female japanese pop star. In fact, some people were interested in listening to her. (But they get bored quickly. XD)
is like no man could like Madonna's songs!!
Also Britney was cute and tender like ayu during her debut hera but I knew many many guys liking her and going to her concerts!

The maleness of you guys shouldn't be judged in base of what singer do you listent to!

Heck no I don't feel effeminate cause I listen to Ayu music. In fact, I got her pictures posterize all over my wallpaper, youtube, and facebook. There's nothing really to be effeminate about and I'm a straight guy. I used to listen to hip hop, rnb, and other western music. But now I just listen to Asian music and oldies. Ayu's is hott and I really like her music.

I'd rather feel effeminate for liking a male singer, but Ayu is a girl so it's not the case

honestly, of course i don't LOL because ayu wouldn't make me effeminate only being girly would? LOL

but i know what you mean, AND IN SOME ASSPECTS IT'S TRUE

because although i don't believe her music is feminine (well... with HONEY... LOL you know what i mean), i do think her image is sometimes feminine

i always try to rep ayu and expose her to my friends even though are anti ayu LOL but honestly i can't save ayu or myself when she's in a frikken pink fluggy night dress (angel's song premium countdown) LMAO

so ya, her image sometimes is really girly, but her music is music. she doesn't sing or sound like she's trying to be cute (WITH SOME EXCEPTIONS) so in the end it does not make anyone effeminate, and i definitely don't feel that way yeeeyeye

no because ayu is not a gay icon or something like that
ayu music sometimes is really hardcore and punky.

maybe the only gay thing about ayu is her look and extravanga. but into an ipod the music is the only thing that count.

i feel totally gay for like it this ! :

i do feel so slightly... but there is nothing i can do right? Most of my frens like some male, handsome taiwanese singers who emerged from singing competition in the asia region, claiming they are "talented". I was laughing like mad..

But i just told myself it is all normal for a MALE to like a FEMALE singer.. males should goes with females!

anyway, i dont care what others think about me. Ayu's songs are probably better than the songs my friends like.

I feel very ironic
the men here feel feminine if they like ayu

let me tell you guys,
I am not the feminine type of girl, and liked to wear jeans everywhere
and I love the ayu, which sometimes looks very feminine and slightly coquettish
and you know what,
all my friends and even my parents sometimes think I'm a lesbian
really crazy... LOL
I love her music, not her spoiled style
and when we see her documentaries and her lyric, we could see she was a very tough and hard girl
unlike general appearance on a magazine cover or HONEY performance

Oh, it's okay to love Ayu's somgs cause Ayu is a lady. I would say I'm like a gay cause I'm liking Ayu so much. But I'm not gay at all (But still afraid I'll be a gay some day. I hope I'll never be gay).

what do you mean? Ayu is like... JOlin? As mamny girls like Ayu as guys. I think they are fairly equal. Its just that girls squeal at Ayu and her fashion but not guys, so that's why there are people who think guys liking ayumi is lesser than girls. they are around equal i think.

Mainly because many didn't understand my point and took it as not being a good fan.

Im not ashamed of liking ayu, I dont see ayu being a "girls only" thing, she doesnt sing ****ty or anything (like in her lyrics) she sings about overcoming problems and loss and being strong etc compaired to someone like Kumi's music which I would class more of a "girls music" though she does have some good sounding songs though. Some songs are more girly than others but thats because ayu is a girl and I find them fun and cute when she preforms them live. The only problem I get is that she is asian and doesnt sing in english but I just dont listen to those comments. Anyone who steps into my house can clearly see that I like ayu a lot I see it as people think that ayu is a girl so only girls can like her which isnt the case at all

Nope... I don't feel effeminate for liking Ayu... being effeminate implicates much more things, not only music, so... I'm proud of being an "Ayufan"
And also... I don't consider Ayu music as "girls-only" stuff... everyone can enjoy it ^_^
