The english lyrics sounds so weird, lol.
The arrangements are amazing though!

So this was on wiki
Jones is known for being a fan of Japanese megastar Ayumi Hamasaki. Not only did he cover her song 'Depend on You', he also sang a song of hers entirely in Japanese. These two covers resulted it loads of attention. As a reply, he also remix Ayumi's #1-single 'STEP you'. lol!

It was pretty good. XD I like how in the middle of the song, it's randomly: "Bentleyjones.com!"

They were pretty good covers, but all of Ayu's versions are better ^^;;

It's a pretty good cover, but it doesn't say anywhere that it's a cover! He makes it seem as though he wrote the original version in the description and in his videos... What an ass!

Well there are enough comments on his homepage that say that they love his cover of "ayumi hamasaki's Depend on you" so I guess it's fine

Seriously. If he's "such a big fan" of her, then why doesn't he give her credit for the song? He HAS to pay royalties in order to use her song like that, right?

Oh c'mon guys. I guess then it's OK that Ayu stole the whole intro to Free&Easy without crediting it ANYWHERE.
I'm sure it says 'originally sung by ayumi hamasaki, music by kazuhito kikuchi' in the actual album credits. |

I hate remixes, I hate covers. don;t even want to listen to someone butcher an ayu song. she does it best. it is her and her voice and her words that I love. anyone else singing her words is just wrong.

I think.. the english Version is good. Not bad. I like the Musik!
Ok.. for the japanese Version.. his japanese sounds a little bit strange.. but.. I think, it is because, he isn't a nativ speaker. But it is nice to see, and european singer covers Ayu's songs! Thanks greate. (^.^) Ok.. there was a spanish "Fairyland" befor and something other. But.. his is the best cover, I think. By the way.. i never heard his name befor. |

Oh come on, do you really think he would take a Ayumi Hamasaki song, publish it on his debut album and come away with it without anybody realizing?
I'm pretty sure he's got Avex's permission... btw it's interesting to see the comment section of his website being flooded with AHS-member's comments |

Well, I don't think there's any need for him to credit her for Depend on me (on the website I mean). Ayu has used others' compositions before and made it her own song, and that's all he's doing. It just seems like he goes out of his way to avoid mentioning that Depend on you is her song in the 'lost in translation' video.
I don't care for the English lyrics and his Japanese sounds weird, but it has a very interesting arrangement. |
