Stadium Tour 2002

How long is this tour? Because I've seen a few songs from it like evolution, and it's daylight out. Then I saw HANABI and it looks dark out. Could someone tell me how long this is? How long (on average) do most of her concerts/tours last? Thanks in advance.

It looks like it takes an entire afternoon/evening; with a very long break between vogue or whatever it was and Free&Easy (Because it's night when she comes out for F&E) But the DVD is edited so the transitions take less then a second; to save space and so you can view the performances simutaniously, of course.

well the unedited TV recording of it was about 2 or 2 1/2 hours if i remember correctly, so a concert that's done over sunset that's only 2 hours long would still have that transition. The concert started at 6 pm, so between 6 and 8 or 8:30 = sunset in there.

Oh, also there was a big video medley on the screen right before the medley of older songs that ayu performs, but they cut it out of the DVD (Which is sad because the piano medley piece that plays in the background is gorgeous, especially the A Song for XX part). Alot of the sunset happens over that period of time.

They also show different clips from different concerts at some parts (on the DVD version). It's a little weird near the end, when she's singing Boys & Girls, and it goes from night to day to night...

I see. Thanks for confirming the hours! ^_^ I've only seen clips of some songs from the concert (evolution, SEASONS, HANABI, End roll, and monochrome) so I'm going to put this on my Christmas list. I want this one badly!

Chibi, it is a REALLY good show. Not so much for the costume changes, as they're nothing spectacular, but it's just FUN. There's alot more audience interaction (even more on the TV version than the DVD version, like teaching the audience the independent dance after the dance sequence with ayu & all her dancers onstage), lots of positive energy, a GREAT stage set... i would have loved to have been at this show.

Yep, Stadium Tour is a favorite of mine too. If there's any way you can watch the SkyTV version of it, please do! It's the live television feed of the Tokyo Stadium show which is a bit longer than the DVD version -- 3 hours more or less. I used to have it, but lost it when my hard drive died.
