Thanks for sharing but am I reading it wrong? It seems to indicate that streaming is a growing market but the chart doesn't really indicate that at all...

^ I feel confused by the chart as well. However, it does indicate that CD production is in decline. Streaming subscription is looking quite stable and I think 5 years from now it'll be on the rise.

So happy to read that Ayu's new album has been played 2.4 million times through AWA. I think this boosts her image as an artist.

I will always prefer buying the real album CD over streaming or mp3s. I hate that things like Itunes and streaming services are taking over. So sad.
I just hope that next time she releases her album closer to the streaming release date. Made In Japan's CD release was much to late. It maybe could have had better 1st week sales if they had done that.

They should have shown the digital streaming as A PERCENTAGE of the disc sales on the chart

EDIT: Nevermind, the percentage growth after the decline is still not substantial

It's nice to hear an official's statement about what their thought-process with this release was. Usually we don't get this kind of insight

Ayu is avex's guinea pig for all new stuff, lol.

First for CD+DVD, first for USB, first for some of the other innovations...

Haha yes I was wondering that too. Somehow this is the case with a lot of "articles".
