I just listened to This Silence Is Mine for the first time and I was shocked by it in two parts. Firstly, the melody is beautiful and thematic. Surely one of her best compositions in many years. Secondly, it's impossible to not hear how raw her voice sounds. She has gone from having a really full sounding voice to having a ravaged voice you could only liken to either Marianne Faithful (post-Broken English) or Stevie Nicks.

So has she recovered her mind or not yet? I liked both this silence is mine and itazurana pierrot. (not the coupling song, that is strange)
I really want her to do well...anyway that something was off with her it's always been clear, maybe with time and that trauma it got worse. But if I reread the lyrics of infection or BORDERLINE i get this "ah I should have known better at the time that she would eventually have ended up like this"

This Silence Is Mine was awesome! But this video posted here, oh my... poor Chihiro, sounds terrible and those random yells, ah, well, at least the public was nice and still clapped :/

It's available on iTunes (in the UK anyway) so you should be able to find it on there.

I don't have iTunes.. but I found it on youtube. But thanks for the info.
The song is very nice... but it would be nicer, if her voice would be like in her old days.

^You can use iTunes even if you don't have an ipod (which I have only recently discovered and there's quite a good selection of Jpop on iTunes!)

New song 祈りが言葉に変わる頃 (Inori ga Kotoba ni Kawaru Koro, something like When prayers turn into words in English I think?) was released digitally today. Download available here, among probably many other places. It's apparently a theme song for some horror movie, and sure sounds like one! Chihiro's voice sounds fairly heavily edited, therefore more stable than in her other recent songs. The song doesn't really go places, but I like the creepy vibe and the sound. Not as strong as This Silence Is Mine was, but miles above Itazura Pierrot and Anata to SciencE.
