Thank you, masa!
It seems the theme is that life goes on, even though there is some event that stops you. I don't think she has a theme like that before...? I can't really recall.... Also, "Let's do a miracle" does sound strange. Perhaps, "Let's make a miracle?"

Well... Life could encompass her friend, Tomoya and her hearing impaired problem... Life goes on... I think that's what she wants to tell us.
Thanks, masa! |

I couldn't find the phrase "make a miracle" in the online dictionary. But if it's commonly used in English, I think it's the best of course. I'd like to hear other people's opinions.

Well, 'do a miracle' doesn't sound too wrong. It's like you're creating a miracle, if you get what I mean...

Maybe moreso as "Let's have a miracle"? Definitely not "let's do a miracle", though, it just doesn't make sense in English. But, great translation, thank you for your hard work! |

But then that must mean she's been writing about the same topic for awhile now. Why not something uplifting? Or something new rather than self-doubt and loss? I think she's emphasized her point thoroughly enough already. |

I see no problem with it, I'm sure she'll come out with an uplifting song soon, it'll just take time. She is a human being after all.

I change the part to "Let's make a miracle". Thank you.
To tehxiinae "Okosu" has mainly two meanings. 1. raise (a person) 2. make (an accident, a fire, etc.) happen And it's the latter in this case. |

To Melrose
"Omou" is "think", and "negau" or "nozomu" is "long for". And, you know, "a matter of course" is a common phrase. But I'd like to hear other people's opinions for this part, too. |

I'm actually kind of glad that most (if not, ALL of us) could point out that the lyrics either reflected about the death of her friend (Natsuko) OR about her breakup (Nagase) OR about Ayu's hearing loss.
Because I would think that at THAT moment when she wrote the song, it was really about her life (at that juncture) and these might be the things that mattered to her. Perhaps she didn't intend for a single lyrical work to be linked to so many areas, but I think it gives the song more appeal since it's multi-faceted. |

I think we might get some clarification as to what the song means later when we get magazine interviews..

I just hope we hear something new from her soon (in terms of lyrics). Sometimes it makes me sad to always listen to depressing stuff. But even if she never did change the topic of her lyrics, it wouldn't bother me. I can't even understand it anyways. It's just some other people had mentioned this (the lyrics sounding all the same) about her lyrics from her GUILTY album, and I started noticing it was kind of true. But I guess what you're saying is true in a way....even though I still have my doubts. Practically all her sad songs like this sound almost exactly the same when it comes to the lyrics. But it's not a big deal for me because they're still good lyrics afterall. It's just a matter of similarity. There's nothing wrong with trying to sort out your problems, but w/e is bothering Ayu must be really bad because she's been writing stuff like this for awhile now. It's just depressing to see her like this -it really is. And I guess it's kind of just wearing to see lyrics like this over and over. Sorry, I'm kind of rambling and I know those are a few different opinions....but yeah...I just hav a lot going through my mind when I read Ayu's lyrics. |
