Yes but the radio clearly became more dominated by dance music after Gaga. I mean, it was heading in that direction already, but it spiked really quickly after Gaga (and no I am not a Britney stan nor am I a Gaga stan - just my honest opinion and belief).

I know what you're saying though I'm not being biased here but I think Brit's Blackout album has created the dark synth in pop music

Blackout released it on 2007
The Fame released it on 2008
Lady Gaga maybe did help in that territory but Brit did created the trend starting from the Blackout album
