in 1999, they debuted aboard a cruise ship in Hawaii, and have been making a storm across japan ever since! they are currently in their 11th year of success. arashi belong to the talent agency, Johnny & Associates. they are also under the record label, J-Storm. they've gotten single of the year in 2008, and single/album/DVD of the year in 2009.

大野智 | Ohno Satoshi

♥ Ohno became the group's leader because of a Rock-Paper-Scissors game he did with Sakurai! He didn't even want to be the leader!
♥ A mama's boy! He says his mom still buys his clothes & that goes for his shoes too o_O!
♥ Known for his amazing artistic ability & he really LOVES fishing!
♥ Never fails to engage in neverending otherwise dead panned mannered verbal & physical fights against SMAP's leader Nakai Masahiro whenever the guys appear on the comedy show Utaban in which Nakai's the host alongside with comedian Ishibashi Takaaki
♥ Possibly the most quietest member in the group but if you give him a chance to talk , he will bound to say something amusing/funny to make everyone laugh in any good way possible


松本潤 | Matsumoto Jun (also known as MatsuJun )

♥ Jun is an elite in Johnny's - meaning that he is one of the only 3 men in Johnny & Associates who didn't have to audition as the boss himself Johnny-san called him personally on his handphone to join the company!
♥ Unofficially in a way or 2 loyal fans of him coined the term "Jun-bait" no thanks to his good looks and acting roles!
♥ Although the youngest, he's the most serious about ARASHI's work!
♥ Became the 1st male artist to pose on the cover of the now defunct (in Japan only) Marie Claire magazine which took place 3 years ago in June (pun intended)
♥ In AHS , MatsuJun belongs to Beauty4123 / Lisa while Karen used to be his ex xD


二宮和也 | Ninomiya Kazunari (also known as Nino)

♥ Nino is the husband of Karen's french friend Nat xD
♥ Has made his Hollywood debut in Clint Eastwoods Letters from Iwo Jima!
♥ Loves to play jokes and pranks on other members!
♥ A self proclaimed Otaku!
♥ Together with Ohno , both of them form a duo called OhMiya which displayed a lot of *ahem* fanservice moments to the delight of fans!
♥ He especially has two mistresses from AHS, which are teddbear55 & ll moments ll !


櫻井翔 | Sakurai Sho

♥ Sho may seem to be the most manly in the group - but he's the biggest scaredy cat & he surprisingly screamed a lot more lesser than Aiba LOL LOL LOL during a special broadcast of Himitsu no Arashi-chan where they had to go in to investigate an inn that was 'haunted' ! & Sakurai can run REALLY fast . Faster than Aiba anytime of the day LOL
♥ Inspired many of his kouhai to attend college after getting into Keio University & in the process , graduated with a degree which he majored in Economics!
♥ Also hosts the popular news show NEWS ZERO!
♥ The designated rapper of the group who writes his own rap lyrics , this's also known as "Sakurap" . Because of him , this inspired his Junior , KAT-TUN's Tanaka Koki to do so too
♥ He's known as the brother in law of KarenPang! (LOL LOL LOL 8D )


相葉雅紀 | Aiba Masaki

♥ Aiba loves animals (even though he's scared of birds & kangaroos :O) which lead him to work on Tensai! Shimura Dobutsuen where he often gets to work (hilariously) with wild animals!
♥ Joined Johnny & Associates only to meet his idol V6's Miyake Ken and play basketball with SMAP!
♥ Loves speaking English - even though he's not too great at it!
♥ In the same wavelength (brain wise & then some) as BREAKERZ's frontman DAIGO
♥ Loves experimenting in lots of weird ways/manners you can imagine/think of in the band's variety shows ! So much so that he even has his own corner called Ai-land (short form for Aiba-land) in Arashi no Shukudai-kun!

i think if aiba does get a drama, we'll get a single from arashi in either february or march. if he doesn't, and they sing for GANTZ instead, then i also see a februay or march release. if neither happens, then i still think we'll get a new single by then, anyway. i don't think we'd have to wait until like...may for something new, lol. even though they released singles in 3 consecutive months this year.

maybe we'll get one more single and a new album by april? or in the summer? who knows, lol!

btw, this thread will probably be the last arashi thread that i make in the year 2010. the next one should be up by january 2011 considering how fast this thread goes.

i personally hope so too, lol! i mean, i know their style isn't dark like the movie, but i can still see them doing a really dark song. maybe something even better than truth? i think some people would rather see a rock band do the theme song, since that's what you'd expect with a dark movie like GANTZ, but honestly, i don't mind either way. it's all good for me, lol. because arashi could get a tie-in, regardless.

but maybe by doing the theme song they could show a totally different sound of music or a new image? i think it'd be cool! it's a great opportunity for arashi. i wouldn't under-estimate them, since their a bit due for an upbeat song anyway after 4 mid-tempo singles so we'll see what happens! regardless, they will totally have a new single out in early 2011.

haha! i didn't use any singles titles because i felt as if they wouldn't "fit" in a thread title. the b-sides or BnMF album tracks seem to have worked better instead.

since Dear Snow came true, and it was posted with In The Future also being a rumor, maybe there's a chance it could really be true? i'm not underestimating arashi, lol. i mean, if they can have such a song like Mada Ue Wo as an album track, and Tokei Jikake no Umbrella as a b-side, why can't they have another "different" sounding song as an a-side?

they probably don't want to align causal listeners ?

still I prefer they release songs that does not have the usual samey music formula they've been using . If they release something like truth , I don't see why they cannot release another song that's on par if not better than it per say

yup, 4 singles is definately enough for a new album! but it seriously feels like BnMF was JUST released! like irene, i also feel like it was just yesterday. maybe it's because i heard the album again just yesterday for the 457678567th time, LOL. i kinda think a new album could come out in late spring or early summer? i doubt it'll take another 2 years for an album this time, since they've already released a BEST. the next BEST should be like....in 2014 for their 15th anniversary, since for their 5 years anniversary they released 5x5. i dunno, since they could just wait until their 20th anniversary instead lol.

but for the single, i think J storm wants to play it safe since your buying the single, and if they put something out that's like...really different, i think they'd think no one would buy it. but by now they should realize that the sales just keep on increasing regardless! truth was different & that was the #1 single of 2008, so there is a possibility that they can release a song in that style again. maybe even better! i'm reeeally hoping. as much as i love the last 4 singles in their own ways, i want UPBEAT music again!

You look at Sakura Sake , Kitto Daijoubu , We can make it ! , Step and Go , Kaze no Mukou e , those were great with the inclusion of Sakurap
