Ayu's Overseas versions releases

Hey there folks!

Does anyone of you know whether or not the official calendar and the Voyage DVD will be available as Overseas versions any time sooner?
I really am looking forward to getting them but the Japanese versions are way too expensive for my wallet!
Thanks in advance for replying to my topic mates!

DVD - The DVDs usually don't have an official overseas version.. but you can find ones on ebay later on for cheap... from 15-20 dollars. Or you can get the VCD which costs less and is region free.

Calendar - I've never heard of an overseas version of a calendar either. I know YesAsia lists it as "Japan Version" but I've never seen an overseas version, I don't think there'd be anything to distinguish Japan from Overseas anyway.

BTW - I have the calendar and it is worth every penny.

This is a tad off topic, but you can find pics of the calendar here:

^Thanks to xiaoxiao for the link ^

So you can decide if you want to pay for it or not.

By the way, takke, your avatars set is ace, seems like a cover for a duet, lol!

Ayu rules... and makes me spend a lot of money, but hey, someone on this forum uses it as a motto, she's priceless.

Usually whenever there's a type of Ayu video release, it's released as (1) JPN DVD (2) JPN video cassette (3) Overseas DVD (4) VCD. YesAsia usually carries all 4 video formats. As for the calendars, I've never seen an overseas version of a photo book/calendar except for Chinese versions of them.

Ayurocks, where did you get the calender? The one I saw at Yesasia was the unofficial Ayu one.

If I'm not mistaken, Avex creates the overseas version so that they can sell Ayu's albums throughout Asia, not only in Japan. It is probably too expensive to create all the albums in Japan and ship them to other countries. It is much cheaper to make the overseas albums in Hong Kong, China, or Taiwan, and then ship them throughout Asia.

Interesting!

And beside that - are there any other differences?
In Quality for example?

I think the jp. Cd's are also more limited - or not?

thx

The sound quality is supposed to be identical to the Japan version. There shouldn't be any diference. Some people say there are small differences in the quality of the booklet in the CD though. I haven't noticed it myself, however.
