Ayu merchandise in North America

I'm not sure if anyone asked this already, but do they sell any type of Ayu-related merchandise in the U.S., specifically California? Maybe in small Japanese stores or something? Or is it impossible to import overseas?

you're where? San Diego?

Uh...I know it's a bit far, but I know there are Book-offs down in the LA area that sell tons of stuff.

I have a friend who lives in Pasadena and he's always going to the Book-off I guess around there.

I could swear we have an HMV as well...but...that's a long shot because I really don't remember.

You know what, I think they have a book-off in San Diego...let me see if one of my friends knows.

Also if there's an Asahiya or Kinokuniya in the area, they'll most likely have stuff.

Kinokuniya in little tokyo LA had all the new magazines with ayu, and the occasional book collectible (I do believe they had uraayu there last time I went, but that was literally years ago). There was a smaller bookstar in Japanese Village Plaza in LA that carried jpop calendars too, so ayu's calendar might be there.

Book-Off is probably the best place to find anything else, or anything out of print. They carry all kinds of stuff.

Ah, I see! Thank you very very much! (Now if only I can get my parents to take me there) It's next to Mitsuwa, too! (Maybe I'll get my hands on some magazines when I visit the market for school field trip in November)

Thanks, though!

I know there are a lot of places in Little Tokyo, in the LA area, where you can get lots of Ayu related goods. There's even a place that sells Japanese CD's in Koreatown (LA), but the people there are a little rude.

I wish I could spend time to look around in L.A. but I never get to. Maybe when I grow up I'll go.

Yeah I know, that's the thing I hate about Kinokuniya. Their albums are like $40 and up. Singles are about $14 and up.

I kinda miss the days of cd-only albums being the standard. back then, you couldn't find a cd at kinokuniya for more than $33. *shrug* ah well.

The Book-Off stuff is pretty cheap! I get tempted to buy all the CDs (and I wish they had more, too). Do they possibly sell any magazines that would feature Ayu? I didn't seem to find any (or maybe I didn't have time to look well enough xD).
