[B'z] IT'S SHOWTIME!! 1st B'z thread

Ok! Since the last one was inactive! I'm gonna try again! THIS TIME!!! With some introductions to them!!

Bio:
B'z (pronounced Biizu) is a duo featuring vocalist Inaba Koshi and guitarist Matsumoto Tak.

B'z debuted in September 1988 with the album B'z and single Dakara Sono Te wo Hanashite. Their fifth single, Taiyou no Komachi Angel, was the first single to debut at #1. Each of their following singles and albums have also reached #1. Their fourth full album, RISKY, not only scored #1 on the Oricon Charts, but stayed in chart rankings for 132 weeks (2 and a half years). They are easily the best selling Japanese group of all time with a reported 75 million albums being sold to date and have ranked #1 in album, single and overall sales in Japan.

Great idea, I never knew the best j-band of all times even had a thread on AHS!

Anyway, any new-single news? It's about time to release a new one, 2008 has been their first year since 2002 with only one single released

I like a song here and there, but their music hasen't really changed much throughout the years. I think my two favourite B'z songs are itsuka no merry christmas and negai!

Last I heard, they released B'z The Best "Ultra Treasure". Other than that... I haven't heard anything about them releasing a single.

I only wish that I could find a link to Koshi or Tak's blogs! DX

At least they should release a early-2009 single
And not more compilations!!1 Well, they are celebrating 20 years in showbiz, so I forgive them

I was in the It's Showtime PV which is AWESOME Cuz that's the song this thread is named after. XD!!!

But yeah, I have to get annoying about that sometimes. Whenever anyone mentions B'z anywhere, one of my first comments is usually "I WAS IN THE IT'S SHOWTIME VIDEO!"

Koshi is haaaaaawwwwwwwwwwwtttt in real life, i'm dead freaking serious.

Should I post my report of the shoot (that I put at ayu-mi-x) here, or is it too long & boring?

B'z official website says something about a release of something relating to "Winter Gift". O.o

Well I'm 24 at the moment.... It happened when I was 19, and it's STILL one of the best moments of my entire life.

(And the "Winter Gift" is christmasy re-release packaging of the ULTRA BEST releases, they're SOOO CUTE. ^__^ I want them so I can put them next to my red version of The Ballads ~Love & B'z~ on my shelf!!!)

ANYWAY here's a re-post of how the "IT'S SHOWTIME!!" shoot went...

) while the band were shooting the indoor shots inside the Orpheum... They brought out the truck, with the motorcycles, no band yet, and they told us to run to the front of the truck, cuz that was where they were gonna be and they were gonna cut in the footage later - but to get certain angles of the crowd, the band had to not be there. So we lightly jogged to the front of the stage, and we did our thing all half-assed XD Whenever we're lightly jogging in the video, that's when the band wasn't there. XD

So then finally at like 1 AM, the band came out. We ran that time! XD They did more shots of us running to the front of the truck-stage, and we were MUCH more excited this time. But understandably, Tak & Koshi were EXHAUSTED, you could tell Koshi wasn't his usual genki self. He really was NOT as energetic as the video makes him look. XD They like, used the few shots when he looked like he was into it.

Another fun fact is that it had been raining off & on ALL DAY in L.A., and they tried in the PV to make it look like it hadn't been. We had to put umbrellas away, take hoods off, all that. But if you look closer during some of the daytime shots, you can tell the pavement is wet.

And there was supposed to be more to the PV's "Story" sorta. There were supposed to be shots of us waiting outside the theater for a concert that our "characters" thought was gonna be inside... for whatever reason they scrapped that part-way through the shoot, so the story of the extras pretty much started when we see them on a truck that pulls up. *shrug* Doesn't make as much sense this way, but for whatever reason it was easier to shoot that way.

Tak was awesome - he threw guitar picks out into the crowd ^^ I didn't get one, unfortunately

Probably for the best cuz everything I have from that time is gone now.

One thing the PV doesn't show enough of is the chick playing the bassist. She had this jersey tank top on, and a big purple tutu. She ROCKED. XD I was really sad when they hardly showed her at all in the final cut of the video.

Strange, I searched for "B'z" many times in search function, but nothing showed up. Oh well, but I found the thread now, that's all that matters.

I'll copy and paste what I posted in the asian chat section about the new upcoming double a-side single:

Release Date: August 5th, 2009.

"DIVE" is one of the a-sides, and the other a-side is currently unknown right now.
