I don't think the location of her house is public knowledge, but she usually records at Record Plant in LA. That's where a bunch of us have met her in the past.

I really want some news on the single! Last year she posted pretty much the whole "Feel The Love" audio on October 22nd with the single release on December 25. This time the release is a day earlier and we don't have covers or any song preview.

Because most of the time the fanmade covers are just a competition to see who can apply the most number of filters on a fashion magazine shot without any interest on having a concept that isn't a literal translation of the release name or with any knowlegment of visual composition. Most of the time they are also far behind the current trends because the fans are just replicating trends they saw other artists using.

Knowing photoshop =/= Knowing graphic design.

Don't get me wrong but all these amazing fanmade are amazing because they took something initially done by Ayu team ... let see what can we do if we were part of her team with a budget and all the things around ... It's always easy to make critics behind our PC but the reality is different ! Like Andrenekoi said a cover is not just a nice picture with an heavy background and adjustments made via photoshop ! I really like the creativity of artcika it's always sophisticated etc ... but I still think it's easier to find the flaws of something we have not made at first !

most of her recent covers with plain background and ayu trying to looking sweet, nice or sexy
look at alan ->photos<- they perfect without filters and photoshoped backgrounds. So that's not about photoshop skills and budget, that's about taste and ideas

With the last statement - I agree. However I think that just the fact that someone isn't an educated graphic designer it doesn't mean they aren't creative in their own way and that what they've done doesn't look good. Keeping up with trends isn't everything and I think that so many of Ayu's covers have been pretty stale and boring lately. I can't really remember the last time I was WOW-ed. So atm any change is better than the Love songs~Love again~LOVE~again~FTL/MGR color schema and those boring fonts.

lol wow didn't think this would turn into a debate on who can make stuff and who can't. Let me tell you one thing having an education doesn't mean you're good at it either. I am not a graphic designer, i am an artistic mind who makes scenes from pictures. And i never claimed to be one.
I have my approoval from a professional who's work i greatly admire and who actually works for someone who's music i admire too and that's all i need to know that my work is good enough for someone like me who's self taught in this. As long as there's someone who enjoys the things i or any other fan like me does i am sure we'll keep going >D

LOL yeah... the other one i did, it was the only one that i had ever though "what could avex pull off with their budget for Ayu..." and it was a fake studio set with snowy rock and a backlight with fake snow falling xD very "fancy" and totally high budgetxD

Even it doesn´t matter, I really want this single does good on oricon charts... Namie´s last single Brighter Day was number 5 the first day, solist artist are pretty much declining in single sales.
