Profile:Group Memberships

Hey! again
Well, it´s like this that I´ve been to profiles of many users and everytime I see that ...... is not a member of any public group I start wondering what is this "group membership" could anyone care to explain?

From an earlier thread:

-Group memberships would only be noticed if the staff added new groups, but since I dunno whch groups could be added, it's nothing to be concerned about

vBulletin allows for the creation of public usergroups, which registered users can opt to join. This feature is not in use at AHS however.

Yes, that's possible, but there is no intention to do such a thing at this time.

..I can't imagine the forum having a bunch of groups, lol. Two members start feuding, so the rest of the 2 groups jumps in the battle.

I don't know what you mean by that, but [AHS]MortalSex is asking about public usergroups. These are groups that members can join and there is a section in your profile for it. As I said before this isn't something that has been implemented at AHS.

^he maybe meant the title "STAFF" is already an public group but as you say and what I can see that´ll not be true if it´s regarding Group Membership at AHS ^^

Groups are also used by the forum software to give a username certain permissions (eg grant/deny access to the Downloads forum) though they can be used to show membership of a "club".
