Concerning "Most users ever online"

Maybe I'm just being stupid, but...

Most users ever online was 310, 7th June 2005 at 07:33 AM.
Doesn't go together with:
The most ever members online was 85, 10th June 2006 at 06:02 PM.
The most ever guests online was 81, 6th June 2006 at 01:20 PM.

I've never noticed these numbers o_O but I must admit I always thought that here are much more visits than 166... but back to the topic it looks really weird. I've never heard about yahoo slurpies <goes and asks mr google...>

There was a topic about this a while ago, I think a few months ago in the Chat-Room. Someone asked about it, and wanted to know what was so special about the day with the most people online, and the answer was that most of that was from search engine things [can't remember if they're bots or something else] and not real visitors. The staff said that they had changed the settings so there aren't as many of these things from search engines visiting [like the Yahoo Slurpies], and mentioned they might change the statistics. I've noticed the most members online and most guests online setting now, so maybe that was part of the change, adding something that was generated by real visitors and not something from a search engine.

What HanabiChick posted is more or less correct.

The "most users ever online" statistic is the combined number of members and guests and reflects forum traffic since April 2004.

The "most ever members/guests online" stats separate the members from the guests and reflects forum traffic since 3 June 2006.
