So it has glided from Top 50 to #90 but I'm still happy for it!

Oricon isn't the standard to judge how quality music are anymore...

I'm glad she's on the top. Plus, we all know she did quite well digitally (A BEST slayed again), so it's nice overall.
And YAY for PLANET SEVEN #2 best selling album of the year, it was deserved Top 10 singles is kinda depressing tbh...

Congrats to A ONE being #90. Would like to see iTunes' ranking for this year. A BEST sure does well.

Colours was #98 on the yearly chart last year. It's been a while since she's charted higher on the yearly chart than her previous full length studio album. I think since GUILTY was #17 on the yearly chart in 2008 and NEXT LEVEL bested it by being #16 on the yearly chart in 2009? I expected her to miss the top 100 this year so I'm pleasantly surprised!

Wow, the quality of japanese music is spiraling massively :/
Anywho, I wish Oricon would come out of the dark ages and count digital sales. The charts would change so much

I'm surprised to see Wagakki Band's sales for their first album. As I'm not really interested by Oricon, I didn't know it was sold decently for this kind of music.

The singles chart is an embarrassment. J-pop should be ashamed of itself.
On the other hand, good to see some diversity on the album chart. Good for Dreams Come True and Sekai no Owari and Southern All Stars and Mr. Children! Fighting the good fight. Last edited by Uemarasan; 23rd December 2015 at 08:24 PM. |

It's like the JPOP industry is exactly the same for 7 years already, that's awful.
Almost no changes on top 10s (arashi/AKB48 and its subs/EXILE and its subs. Anyway ayu's total sales for 2015 is 171,720 (Albums/Singles/DVDs/Blu-rays). (On another note, unfortunately Every Little Thing's Time To Destination is not on top 10 selling albums in japan anymore because of Southern All Stars). |

I'm happy for Namie being in the top 20!
The singles chart is disgusting. |

Surprised to see that EXILE sold so few copies comparing to others. I thought they were huge.

Anyone else absolutely thrilled to see that AKB48's Kuchiru didn't break million sales in its first week?! There may yet be hope for music if they continue to descend. I didn't think this day would ever come!
This is certainly going to be a great Christmas! EDIT: Just to clarify, it sold 905,000 copies in its first week. Then only sold 25,000 in its second. It MAY actually not even sell 1,000,000 copies. I say we break out the bacardi and have some cocktails to celebrate!
