Putting on weight can really cause breasts to grow and they can stay big even if you lose the weight after, I know from experience. It could be from her gaining weight, or it could be from surgery, either way it's kind of a pointless thing for articles to be focusing on. She must still matter to the media if they're willing to write anything about her. As for the topic of plastic surgery, people (men and women) get it done for many reasons. No one should assume why one person in particular has gotten it done, unless they say themselves it was for someone else. I know several people that have had breast plastic surgery after breast cancer for instance. In my case, I'm interested in breast reduction surgery due to back problems, so it's not always about impressing others.

I'm happy I'm not the only one that saw the size of her breast in AT2018 haha.

She did say a few months back that she had gained weight though, I bet that's the reason. I thought she did look a little bit bigger (don't get me wrong, she's still thin), seems most of it has just found its place around the top area.

And if she did get a boob job - good on her for realizing what she desires about her body

Anywho, I remember she put on weight around her breasts in 2008 too, when she very visibly did put on weight. If she has had a job done, I wouldn't be surprised, but noone should overestimate the power of a good push up bra (or two) either.
Except the only thing pushing those tits up on her Instagram photos are the floor tiles.

I know her boob growth as a topic first surfaced years ago and during that time it was clear she was using a push-up bra (as her breasts were pressed tightly against her and relatively “flat” looking), but lately her boobs look heavy and low.

That's true actually, but eh, I feel as if her instagram is fairly edited also. At the end of the day, it's Ayu's business, and if she has made a change and that makes her happy, that's fantastic. I think she looks great, but I hope she brings glam Ayu back soon because I am not a fan the casual street fashion tbh.

While I agree to a point, this is not always true. There are other reasons to get boob jobs. Women who are flat in large part often do it to make themselves feel good because they either can't find clothes that fit or clothes just don't look as good on them. Women who have lost their breasts get implants for obvious reasons. Even women with large breasts get boob jobs due to discomfort and physical pain. So -- yeah, I just don't think a blanket statement like that is appropriate.

In terms of Ayu, she has always had a bit more in the chest area than the average J-Pop star. I go back and forth as to whether she's had implants because there are a few other elements at play here like the fact that she is wearing more revealing costumes and bras that accentuate her breasts more than she used to. She also just has more meat on her in general, which definitely make your breasts larger as well.

If they are fake, kudos to the doctor because they look very natural.

Japanese sizes are different. G cup in Japan is like D or maybe DD cup here.

If you can't find cloths or are "too flat", that is because fashion is made for women with a special shape and for the male gaze. If women get boob jobs to look good, they aren't doing it for themselves, because no one wakes up and thinks they are too flat, unless someone told them so. We are told from the moment we are born that women need to have big and nicely shaped breasts. Of course a lot of women don't like their breasts. I don't like my breasts and all of my female friends also don't like theirs. I still need to find a woman who likes her breasts. Two friends and I think ours aren't shaped nicely enough and another one thinks she's too flat. One friend just started to cry in the dressing room because of how her breasts looked like in a dress she wanted to buy. Actually by the standards seen everywhere she's right, her and also my breasts are ugly. That's the truth, our breats are ugly compared to all the images you usually see. But this is not a reason to get surgery or to convince women getting surgery will change anything. There will always be a part of our bodies that "needs" modification, because we will never look as good as photoshoped people. Either we fight back and start telling people again that what counts are who we are as a person, or else we give up and create a world that is even more obsessed with the "perfect" body.
So no, no one gets a boob job for herself. Women get boob jobs because they can't stand how society is judging them for not being hot enough. If women lose a part of their own sexual pleasure and are willing to sacrifice it for the sake of looking hot for men and are even encouraged to do so, that says a lot of the society we live in.
Btw, reducing the size of your breasts for medical reasons is something entirely different, since it actually improves your health and is not cosmetic surgery anymore. Also, by reducing the size of your breasts, you're not losing the feeling in them, since only a little amount of tissue is removed. When getting a boob job, almost everything is removed and replaced by an implant, that is something totally different.

It seems some ppl forget that men also are under pressure in our modern society. I always hear only "poor women, poor women"
Men are under pressure to have sixpacks, full hair and muscles and earn the money for the family. They have also standarts they should fit in alltough for men it seems itīs more the social standarts than the looks of their bodies.
I am a women and I thing feminism is the wrong thing, because I think gender equaly is the right answer.

I love my breasts and they are natural, haha. So, I guess I'm a rarity? Sure, I've got a few friends that don't like theirs, but I also have friends who are perfectly fine with them. And I don't think I have any close friends who have had breast surgery solely for cosmetic reasons, and I live in Los Angeles, lol.

Why does it have to specifically be for a male gaze anyway? I've got lesbian friends who love to see their girlfriends in revealing clothing, and why is that wrong? Or why is that okay, but the same in a straight relationship wrong?
I think you are pushing your own agenda and ideas a little too hard here for the sake of trying to make your own point, when it is not such a black and white, right or wrong topic.

A lot of this is written from a western standpoint as well, for example, to push this back into relevancy, large breasts are not at all prized in Japan; it's considered a fetish to like them. I know this from personal experience of years being over there, but they did also do a survey where it was found that the ideal size is a D (which is actually an american B cup; small but with shape). Hence the reason for all the Japanese articles about Ayu's breasts being too big and gross. They aren't big and gross because people think they are implants over there; it's because large breasts are generally considered to be not something you should flaunt unless you are a porn star catering to a specific fetish market. So in that case, Japanese women with naturally smaller breasts are the ones that are conforming to standards for the Japanese male gaze....so should the answer be they all get implants so that they become intentionally less desirable? Wouldn't reshaping your body then be considered a good thing? I'm not saying I agree with that at all; what I'm saying is, see how many ways this can go?

In short, your views of your own breasts and everyone else's are not the views of every woman or every culture in the world.

Feminism IS about gender equality. I know this is off topic so I'll keep it brief, but I see so many people using this word wrong. Webster's Dictionary has a good definition: the theory of the political, economic, and social equality of the sexes. Yes, it does focus on women's rights a lot, but that's because historically, women didn't even have the right to vote, and still get underpaid in a lot of places (and these are just two examples). It's really about equality for all genders. If anyone is interested, this is a great article on what feminism DOESN'T mean: https://www.bustle.com/articles/1707...-does-not-mean

^ The problem is, is that a lot of the people who argue it are not arguing equality as they should be.

Ok let me correct it. Many women (and also men) seem to have a false interpretation of feminism, like the article you posted (at least what I can see when I overfly it, itīs too late for me to read it full now)
It seems many women use feminism to get what they personally want. (I hope itīs undarstandable now, itīs not easy to argue in english on such topics for me sometimes xD)

People saying the outside doesn’t count and that what’s inside is the only thing that’s important are probably not very attractive to begin with it and they have simply decided to justify the fact they don’t want to do anything about it by trying to make everyone else feel bad about the physical aspect being important to them.

Also what you said there seems more like settling and giving up rather than doing something about it.

Yeah, I agree that some people use it as an excuse for saying or doing things that aren't actually about equality. It's just frustrating sometimes when people think being a feminist is automatically bad because others have interpreted in a way that makes it seem extreme or 'anti-men', etc.

Anyway, this really got far from Ayu's breasts lol

I don't really want to stop what is an informative discussion, but taking this back to Ayu's social media is a good idea given the thread we're in.

Hypocritically though, I'll add that boob jobs do not necessarily take out feeling from the breasts themselves. Implants can now be added under the natural fat for less invasive surgery of the original tissue.

Also, let's please avoid using blanket statements when it comes to these sorts of subjects. Thanks all.

boobs, boobs, boobs.

This is all I have to say since Koumori's helping to steer the discussion into the right direction.

I have huge boobs. Mine are double D's. People can stare at them all day long, male or female, I encourage it. So, yay. I don't understand what's wrong with that.

Ayu's boobs, real or fake, are inspirational to me. They just look good.

AHS Drama Alert News 2018 October 5th

- The AHS community seems never can have enough the boobs talk! After the bra talks in summer a-nation this year, the boobs talk is again! Surely, the community loves it again. This really add some extra for ayu tour and fits for her tour name - TROUBLE!

- What will people talk next? Her shoes?
