At least now quartet NEWS is more balanced as when Yamapi & Ryo were still part of the group , it was quite evident they were the more popular members

And Uchi who was suspended should go back to Kanjani∞ . I don't know for Kusano though

I'm glad that NEWS seems to remain quite popular despite the two most popular members leaving. I remember back in the day during Heyx3 when Katoh told the hosts that he pulled an April Fool's prank on Koyama, saying that YamaPi would leave NEWS and Koyama said that without YamaPi it's impossible. lol
Good thing that it seems to be possible.

I can understand Ryo's reasons to leave as juggling both Kanjani∞ & NEWS activites was hard but Yamapi's reason to leave was a bit hypocritical as he said before he will never leave NEWS

Ironically after Yamapi left NEWS , his solo music career became stagnant even though the material he put out when he's under Warner produced some of his best solo works but the way Warner marketed him was horrible

Koyama said before they seriously considered to disband NEWS when Ryo & Yamapi left but the reminding 4 chose not to because of the fans who supported them from NEWS Nippon era until now

I didn't even like the NEWS solo stuff of YamaPi that much. I liked Colorful or however it's called the most. I don't feel his voice is that good.
So basically, his career fell flat? I thought he remained with Johnny's? I think I saw a release from him promoted on their official site. Or is he both, Johnny's and Warner?

Nishikido and Uchi should have never been NEWS members to begin with. That he kept it up that long is actually commendable.

Yeah Yamapi's solo music career tanked as you can say . He's still in the agency just that record label wise , he switched to Warner after he left Johnny's Entertainment (who manages/distributes NEWS's music)

But acting wise he's still active . Like recently Yamapi went to Malaysia & China to shoot some movie . I just wish he go back to Johnny's Entertainment as I had a feeling Warner had no idea how to market him but he'll be doing a hall tour next month so all hope is not lost ?

Mmm I don't think it was Ryo & Uchi's decision to be drafted into NEWS in the 1st place , I could be wrong but Uchi frankly should go back to Kanjani∞ as his bond with the members was always been strong

I wasn't saying it was their decision. But why even do something like that? Look at SMAP, who have been around like forever. lol Did they really think that those two will switch between two groups for the next 20 and more years? It's double the amount of songs, choreographies, variety shows etc. For those two it also meant constant travelling between Osaka and Tokyo. With so much stress you will be burnt out easily.

Come to think of it, wasn't Seishun Amigo like 10 years ago?!

Yeah it was very tiring for Ryo , that's why a period of time both groups' music release patterns was very unpredictable

But I think Ryo felt more comfortable when he's in Kanjani∞ as he doesn't behaved like the same person when he was in both NEWS & Kanjani∞

Let alone , Kanjani∞ are just loud like really loud . I think Ryo had to hold back his wackiness when he was in NEWS , LOL

And it's crazy knowing that it has been 11 years since Seishun Amigo was released but it's still a classic even up to now

And when Shuuji to Akira reunite at last year's Johnnys Countdown , that to me was a big highlight as it was evident just how stoked/happy fans were when they came out to perform

Yeah, it's quite apparent that he feels more comfortable with Kanjani. I guess they all have a relation similar to Arashi.
Nishikido never struck me as wacky, though. He is like the most, say, normal among them. =P Other than Ohkura.

On April 27th’s broadcast of MBS’s “Tegomass’s Radio“, a listener asked Tegomass if a girl should be doing her best to be elegant during a meal.

Masuda: I would probably wouldn’t like a girl without manners, but eating like she normally does would be fine. If she’s too polite or something, it would be a bit weird, wouldn’t it?

Tegoshi expressed himself saying that, he would rather have a girl who eats without worrying about the other too much, than a girl who tries her best to look elegant. He also reveal the bad habits that he cannot stand during a meal.

Tegoshi: Resting your elbows on the table are no good for me. I absolutely hate that. I also don’t like when they prattle too much. Prattle and elbows on the table, I really don’t like that. Even when men does it, I don’t like it.

Although you should mind your manners around Tegoshi, he wouldn’t mind if you just eat how you would usually do.

New NEWS song in the horizon ?

NTV has announced that Shige will be starring as the teacher, Yano Kazutaka, in their live action drama adaptation of the novel and popular animated film, 時をかける少女 (The Girl Who Lept Through Time/Toki wo Kakeru Shoujo).

NEWS will be releasing a song for the ending theme, titled 恋を知らない君へ (To You, Who Does Not Know of Love/Koi wo Shiranai Kimi he). Shige has described it as "a ballad about the sadness of summer ending" on the official NTV website for the drama.

The drama will be taking a Saturday time slot starting in July.

Also starring in the drama is Kikuchi Fuma from Sexy Zone.
