Wow, this album really split the fandom lol. All I'm seeing in almost all the perfume sites/reviews are either 'I really hate the album' or 'I really love it'. Reminds me of the Spending All My Time days

I'm glad they got #1, but I didn't find the album very attractive. The only song that stands out for me is Pick Me Up. Story also sounds interesting, but that's all.
The 60k are the 1st day sales only. They're at 89k with today. The album was just released yesterday. xD

^ they sell very well, I never seen before the oricon sales for any perfume record but I am a fan since a long time ago anyway xD

I remember LEVEL3 doesn't like me, but 1mm is a gem and I'm sure I like other songs of the album.

I said before that I miss perfume hit songs and after listening Cosmic Explorer I realized that yes I don't found any perfume hit or old school song in this album.
Maybe the fact I didn't listen a lot of perfume music the last years it makes me want to listen perfume hits.

Cosmic Explorer is surprising me, the new songs have more Nakata music in they then perfume vocals. ?? XD

STORY is so great but in general in the more electronic new songs I see how the songs are like unfinished or broken in some parts and incomplete and talking about the melody of the songs I noticed that they are like incomplete too with only chorus and one verse or only verse, maybe they don't have the regular estructure of the general songs.

I like Cosmic Explorer but I dont think I love it, mainly because the album mixes arent as good as the originals. I'm glad Pick Me Up was left alone because its my favourite song from this era. I liked the original Star Train but it loses its power on the album, same with Cling Cling.
I do love STORY,Flash, Next Stage With YOU and Cosmic Explorer. CE is a really interesting song.

I'm in love with Miracle Worker, it's a perfect pop piece for 2016 Perfume, and sooo addictive. The album as a whole is kind of a step down from LEVEL3 though. None of the other new songs quite reach Miracle Worker, STAR TRAIN, and Pick Me Up's level of quality (Cosmic Explorer certainly tries, and it's a good song, but I just don't think that a sound this heavy suits Perfume very well; Next Stage with YOU sounds nice, but with how little melody there is, it also feels like Nakata just got bored with it halfway through; FLASH is just really boring melodically, but at least the album mix sounds more interesting; STORY is clearly made for the visuals; Baby Face is nice if a bit unmemorable), and many of the singles for this album weren't that great (I still fail to see any appeal in TOKIMEKI LIGHTS or Cling Cling, but at least the latter also got a spiced-up album mix), but on the bright side, I've started liking Relax In The City and Hold Your Hand more as parts of this album. I just wish Nakata found some new inspiration because I'm not loving his EDM-influenced work.

But hey, I'm happy the album sold well!

I'll have to download again and thoroughly listen from start to finish after the high-quality release comes out (as the initial leak stated it wasn't the best it could be).

Even so, the songs were vastly forgettable. It took me forever to get into Perfume. I felt their songs were so easy to blend together. I downloaded and deleted some of their albums twice before hearing Natural no Koishite in a CM brought me back to the trough. I really liked what they did in that era, really beginning with Triangle. The JPN era's singles were seriously some of, if not their best releases. The arrangements got more detailed, and the individual tracks began to stand on their own. I actually felt like there were strong differentiating factors between them.

Sadly, I don't feel that with this new album at all. It's very average. It's like they took the sounds from a free-for-download sample pack of EDM synths. So really, there's just not anything inherently memorable about any of them.

honestly isn't the only super EDM track Story? I feel that track seems so out of place on the album ;/

Anyone else find it ridiculous how they keep touring the US? I'm also willing to bet that if they held a show in Toronto that it would be a lot more successful than the one they plan on having in Chicago and possibly SF as well. They have lots of fans in Australia too and it's really not fair how they're snubbing these two countries

Yes, me too!
Would love them coming to Europe again to see them a second time. Especially as I'm a bigger fan now than I was at the first.
Not to mention I'd be happy for fans in countries, who haven't seen them yet.

I think they're just going to "safe venues". The US must be their second biggest fanbase after Japan, so I can see why they're doing other cities there. Maybe the production don't think that Canada or other countries out of the Europe/US/Asia circle would be successful. They never came do South America, where they have a quite big fanbase, especially here in Brazil. Maybe on next tour...

Talking about Brazil... There's a rumor going on that they'll probably perform at the Ending of Rio Olympics 2016. Since the next Olympics will be hosted at Tokyo, probably some japanese artist will perform at Rio (just ike in London). That's the source: http://chuumoku-news.com/rioolympic-heikaishiki-2263

Maybe that's true because in 8 days they'll start the US Tour, so Brazil is half way to the US. I don't know what to think about it. I'm freaking out!!
