Hmm, maybe because they can relate to each other, both of them being such big music icons in Japan. I also heard somewhere that Gackt thinks Ayu is super cute.

it'll be kinda cool if they're together~...why do i keep thinking them like characters from twilight @_@

but i remember there's a video of ayu calling gackt on a tv show, and gackt said "ayu-chan, you're so cute"

Omg I remember that! And the guy who was interviewing Ayu was imitating Gackt's monotone voice while talking to him, and Gackt got super polite and apologized, saying he couldn't understand what was being said. XD It was hilarious. And adorable.

I wish I could, but I don't think they've ever stated why they became friends.. [if they have, I imagine that only Japanese fans know.. there are like hundreds of interviews that we've never even seen before, so.. it is possible.]

It's probable that they met during a show or something and clicked or something. That's how many artists become friends of one another [see Aya Matsuura and BoA, or like TRF and Ayu.. or something..]

I just read they were friend somewhere,....but you never see things like pictures of them hanging together. Maybe there friends like how they some people say Kumi and Ayu are "friends" they just seem more like acquaintances to me. I think people forget the meaning of the term friend and through it around so freely....

All I know is they sang a song together, I've never read an article from neither of them saying they were friends, or seen any tv shows stating that fact.

And Ayu had 3 songs on those top 10's, while poor Gackt only had 1.

I wish I could get someone to translate all their talking parts though. I had a slight idea of what they were talking about sometimes, other times I was like...*_* <-confused...

And I love how Gackt acts. Normally around males he can be quite outgoing and may i dare say a little flaming, but when hes around a pretty girl he has to keep up a cool suave attitude haha
