"End of the world" - why that title?

Hello, my apologies for being such an irregular poster.

I like the song "End of the Word" very much. One thing about the song that I wish to find out about its the correlation between the title and the lyrics. No other song title confuses me as much. I am well aware a lot of Ayu's song titles are somewhat symbolic ie: their relation to the lyrics are metaphorical or what not and I have been able to construct 'pathway' between them. But "End of the World", for me, seems not to have much of a connection.

As far as I can see, "End of the World" is about the public understanding/ and lazy journalistic perception of "Ayumi Hamasaki" and her saying her fans are probably the only people who understand or try to understand her.

Which element could be summed up as the 'End of the World', though? Why such an apocolyptic title?

Thanks for reading.

I think the title isn't apocolyptic but as in at the end of the word or path or line. Not that that the world is ending.

^ That's what I think too; its an interpretation of someone who has reached the last line, and his/her thoughts.

"watashi wa nani o omoeba ii
watashi wa nan te ittara ii
motehayasareta tte
urayamareta tte
wakatte'ru no ka sae wakaranai"

"What do you wish for tomorrow?
Sometime please tell me if you
think you can get through this
interminable night that continues
in darkness."

And i apologize if my explanation doesn't make sense.

)it's confusing...
ughh...
just this is Ayumi-
get used to it,
bro! (

eh...
the song is about...
how do you feel in this cruel-cruel word,
eh?

and that's why it's the end of YOUR own word of dreams,
unreal world, made by illusions

that crushes while bumping into reality
ya?!
or...
nah...
I dunno, don't ask me!
or you will die from my philosophie! hiha!

I like that more than mine. The song doesnt seem to be about reaching the end point.

At one point of the song it says, "If you think you're such a victim, then you should act out until the very end against this pretense of not caring about losing everything." For some reason, I always made a connection between that line and the title 'End of the World'. As in, the the extent to which you should act out/fight.
