Ah, thank you. I hate when people use "they look like this, they dance, they wear this - they must be gay!" to reinforce their opinions. If every guy who "looked gay" and "dressed gay" WAS gay, then I'd probably have many more options here where I live.

You just cannot judge how someone is by things like that. There's no real way of determining what someone is or isn't.

It is sucks when you are accused being gay. Just because you dance that doesn't mean you are gay. O_O

Seriously. I mean, what would that say about Usher, for starters? Or Timberlake?

If a guy's feminine, then he's feminine. He could still be straight.

I think what really bugs me is people have set these standards. You have to bwe this and do this and like this and NOT be this, do this, or like this in order to be a MAN (or, on the flipside, to be a lady). If you don't conform to these you're different. You're gay or a femme-boy or a tomboy or.... whatever stupid labels. People can't just be people.

I'm not basing it on the way they dress or dance I'm basing it on the backstage stuff I've seen and things like that X_X

I'm sure Hide is gay, no matter what. Go-mi maybe, Naoto I pray! He's so hot

"Gaydar" is like the dumbest thing I've ever heard. It seems more like wishful thinking or basing perceptions of their preferences around stereotyping.

Instinct and accusing is two different things.
Just because someone looks feminine you can jumped out with the conclusion that he is gay.

Thank you for being here, touchedstar, Keishi, and explodingbird.

Being gay myself, I severely dislike it when people resort to superficial qualities to reinforce gay stereotypes. Didn't Brokeback Mountain teach people anything?

They're such bishies, lol.

I know its not right to stereotype, but I just have a feeling that most of them are .

And this thread will soon be in the trash.

I'm not sterotyping them. I'm a guy gay and I just think that they look gay, not from the dances or anything. They just look gay X_X

What exactly does "look gay" mean? I've made an assumption before like that, but you know what they say about when you assume...

But past stereotypes aside, now I have no clue how the way you look can define your love life. That's kind of... err...

I mean, what? They look like humans? Gay people come in all sorts of different looks. So do straight people.

As I said before, what exactly makes someone "look gay"? That's kind of... dumb.

This is becoming rather controversial, but things always seem to heat up when someone mentions homosexuals.

I'm gay and I don't take any offense to this thread though. I guess I kind of see it both ways. I certainly can see what explodingbird, touchedstar, and Keishi are saying, but I also recognize that Raiu-Ayu meant no offense in creating this thread. I mean, I have great amount of pride in my sexual orientation, but I never take offense to any comments about gay stereotypes considering the fact that stereotypes in general are usually derived from some bit of truth (however severely misconstrued it may become through its passing).

explodingbird, I do know what you mean. Usually I just laugh if someone asks me, "You're gay, so you love to shop, right?" But I do find it somewhat annoying as such broad generalizations certainly don't cover each and every homosexual individual.
