lulz m-flo is still relevant and like, the most highly respected. Everybody loves Taku.

It's weird to have an m-flo loves Ayu after all of these years though.

I don't really care to have their styles mix, but at the same time, I'm happy that she's breaking away and working with some other people because her compositions and arrangements were getting really stale.

Calm your shit. It's one song, and it's most likely not even going to be in her official discography. Also, they only collaborated with her on one single. I think of the 14 studio albums, 4 mini albums, 50 singles, 6 compilation albums, and the 20+ remix albums all spanning over 15 years, it's awesome to know she's finally making music with people she has never worked with. That is what I consider dynamic, not some summer pop tune or winter ballad she's done a gazillion times already.

i think i'm just annoyed because Merry-go-round is basically already an m-flo loves song. m-flo composed it, ayu sang it, verbal rapped it, taku takahashi produced it... it's the same exact formula this time again. and that one already made it onto an ayumi hamasaki release, and i wouldn't be surprised at all if she stuck this new song onto the end of her next album. actually, i'll be surprised if she DOESN'T wedge it on as an after-thought bonus track with no concern as to whether it fits the album in question.

it bothers me because m-flo's production is so glaringly different from ayu's. and i like some of m-flo's stuff, but i'd like that sound to stay separate from ayu because i listen to ayu for the huge, dramatic productions tbh.

Yes yes I agree with you for most of your comment but yes it's just one song (pray for this one do not end up in her next album XD) but I see this upcoming song like "Dream on" with this guy from AAA the style of the song was so not Ayu but it's just for the sake of trying new thing =)

I think m-flo IS still relevant, he did a lot of songs for kana nishino and they were huge.
For me it's a nice collaboration, I'm glad she's trying out new things and I loved merry go round because it's so different from her normal productions.
It's not like she will always and only do this kind of sound, it's just a parenthesis in her music, her sound will stay unchanged because it is HERS. But it's nice to see her experimenting with different things, otherwise I'd be bored.. then you can like or dislike but at least you can never say she keeps doing the same stuff all over again.

And I like that she's gone back to experimenting with rap, it IS part of her roots (nothing from nothing anyone?) so i find it nice ^^

Well, as I'm not a fan of merry go round and m-flo, I'm not excited by this news. Because of the quality of the preview, I can't say if I like it or not or if it's promising or not. I have no idea. I'm expecting nothing good about that song at that moment. However, I could be surprised.
