It's not necessarily the "direction" she's going in. She's experimenting and evolving, so there is a possibility that she could make something similar to I am... again in the future. I definitely don't think she's going in any permanent direction with her style of music. Just experimenting and evolving.

I dunno, I like both previews. You just really hate this style from Ayu, so you're a bit biased, haha.

It'd make a good strutting song. I think it could be used in the same manner as "my name's WOMEN" during concerts...

I think it sounds quite epic. The full version should be pretty dramatic, at least from this preview I think it has the potential to be--the way the pitch rises at the end.
