Nobody shared it here yet, but Kuu went viral with teens with her cover and her PV dance of Megumi no Hito through the Tik Tok app.
According to her official site the hashtag #め組 was used more than 270k times ( 10 days ago) and the song was strong in streaming numbers at Line Music as well Her official site and sites like Buzzfeed reported about it: http://rhythmzone.net/koda/news/index.php https://www.buzzfeed.com/jp/tatsunor...kxk#.mebNWZ0j0 The Buzzfeed article says, till now more than 450k used her cover.

The Tik Tok app is highly popular with teens.
It's originally from China. But it's not only popular in China and Japan, it is e.g. also here in Germany with teens (it made some headlines here, cause some girls were sexually abused there without them even realizing). This statistic was included in the article about Kuu on Yahoo:  Pink is female middle school pupils, blue is female high school students. The Megumi no Hito trend is done by girls, but Kuu always was more popular with females with her strong woman image. Modelpress and Co. have articles about it now as well and she's trending with that topic. --------------------------------------------------- Megumi no Hito is now also charting on iTunes and recochoku. It's currently at #46 on iTunes and #62 on recochoku. They could use that momentum to make her more popular with the public again, e.g. with singing Megumi no Hito at both shows she's announced for, coupling it with the info about her new album. Though I suspect Kuu doesn't want to. Imo it's definitely no coincidence, that Kuu decided to include Megumi no Hito in the setlist of AND Tour, after not performing it for some time on a (tour) concert, and this starting in May. I suppose some young fans went and saw it there and started it.

Kuu is right now at #1 on Line Music!
 Before Black Pink and Da Pump, who both went viral with their songs as well on different platforms.  Line Music seems to be the more popular streaming service in Japan compared to e.g. Spotify.

Megumi No Hito is up to #38 on iTunes and climbing! The video is also #4 on the music video chart! If Kuu and her staff are smart she'll perform it at her upcoming TV live on the 27th. Unless she is going to sing a new song from DNA, it's much more useful for her to perform Megumi No Hito while it has hype instead of Ai No Uta.

The PV probably?  She says she only took this picture. And it's confirmed by some Japanese articles. She's singing Megumi no Hito at the show tomorrow.

Kuu is shooting again from morning onwards. Also, she's performing in the last hour of Music Fes, starting 10 pm. Plus the work she's doing in the studio is afterwork for the album, reworking parts and mixing and stuff.

Kuu is performing a special medley with Ai no Uta, Party and Megumi no Hito!
Edit: Ok, this was interesting.  They called it a "Special Hit Medley" and she wore the outfit she posted yesterday ( the racing outfit), so I guess it might have been prerecorded. She looked and sounded great and they were displaying the official Party lyrics with the mistakes in it, lol.

It was probably pre recorded, since most of PARTY's performance was recorded with a drone, which it was pretty fun! I don't think they would do a live broadcast from a drone, it could get messy very quickly if they had some connection issue.
She used her time very wisely, to be honest. haha She sang Ai no Uta, which is her most memorable song for the gp, she did PARTY to introduce people to her newest song, and also Megumi no Hito, in which she only sang the chorus, the only part that people are using for Tik Tok thing. Well done! And she looked goooorgeous ♥

I wondered, how she can shooting something till the morning and then hurrying to a live show in the evening, so looking at her tight schedule, prerecording maks sense.
She is trending on Twitter now (not Megumi no Hito, Kuu herself), so the performance definitely helps.

Seems like she's just done recording a PV, she posted on instagram stories a bit of the backstage and a selfie with long curly blonde hair with butterflies on it (iirc they have the same wings she used on the Butterfly PV~)

If you can trust her dancers singing in her stories, then it's for Haircut.
When she posted two days ago in her FC blog, that she's preparing this special PV, she talked about costumes, not outfits.  Reminds me more of Shake It Up PV than Butterfly. Considering the lyrics of Haircut, she may address her changing and progressing over time over the span of her career. With the post she says she's not done filming yet (it's already the middle of the night in Japan). The dress or whatever she is wearing there is Versace.

Ai No Uta feels so Out of place in this performance imo. It would have been better to either just perform Part and Megumi no Hito or to choose another upbeat song.
Yeah sure Ai No Uta is a big hit of hers but together with these two songs it just doesn' feel right. But Kuu looks so good in the video and her voice was great too |
