I kind of want a winter ballad too. I've never been too impressed with most of her ballads but now that Kumi's finally free, her career can thus actually begin (everything before was a warm up :p ) and I'm sure the new ballad will sleigh. There were like two ballads on WOML (one which happened to be the title song and that actually was a solid song). Dance In The Rain was really good in the end. Compared to all the upbeat songs Kumi has released since becoming free, I've actually liked and remembered her ballads more. DITR can be iconic. It's actually really memorable, catchy, and has that ballad melancholy.

Dance In The Rain will forever be my jam. It's epic, beautiful and has a killer beat. The single cover is my all time favorite of kuu's as well.


Okay, so I recently got the second session tour DVD and finally have been able to watch the "Everybody" performance with that SMAP guy in HQ. Has anyone noticed that there is a PV playing for the song in the background?? Has that ever been released?! My mouth was agape when I noticed it.

It's a bit odd she don't self cover her old material that often . She should do it here & there . It'll be interesting on how she interpret some of her earlier works now

Everything about Dance in the Rain is perfection to me. The song, the cover, everything. My favorite song by her.

I feel like there isn't really much need for Kuu to do self covers. Her voice sounds relatively the same now as it did at the beginning of her career, just more polished. I would like them, don't get me wrong, but I don't really see her doing it.

I thought so too but when i heard her live MP3 from previous tours. I've noticed her voice was better during 2004-2007. She's still an amazing vocalist though.

My only complaint about DITR is when she decides to scream 'RAAAAAAAAAAAAAIN'
It gets a little nasal and annoys me a bit lol but the rest is amazing <3

yeah her voice is just the same so I dont see the point in doing self-covers. unless it's like "walk to the future" that the song had new arrangement, now that would be amazing. changing Take Back to a ballad, Cutie Honey to a jazzy jam, Bling Bling Bling to a rock song, etc

yes apparently its just a background movie because the "PV" was never released, you can see more of it at the SMAP tour where kuu was a special guest. the performance was longer and she looked damn great!

I think it'd be great if she released all the live mixes of certain songs. Studio version of course.
