I'm not really sure it's a question of money. You can do nice things without spending tons. I worked with writers/arrangers for free and the production was quite fine. It's more a question of "good taste" to me.

Well, especially now, if you know how to work the software, you can make really great and professional sounding songs, even if you aren't in a real studio. Where the magic really happens is during the mixing and mastering process. I went to Dubspot, a music production/DJ school in New York City, and my instructor played us a song of his he had created, pre-mixing/mastering and post-mixing/mastering - the difference is startling. The mixing/mastering brings life to the song, making it sound fuller, well-rounded, and complete. Pre-mixing/mastering, everything sounds very flat.

So much this. It's so hard to explain mixing & mastering to people without a before & after, but it really is 100% true. Those processes draw a definitive line between a songwriting demo and a finished production.

Maybe we'll get a similar MA song which I don't like. She seems very interested in bringing old sounds back which isn't bad, but hopefully we'll get something fresh too.

I know i was clamoring how i wanted a certain sound from Ayu but now i don't have that pre-set expectation of how the new songs would/should sound like.
The excitement is there of course and I can't wait to hear the new songs
By the way do we have Step by step in full or not yet?

This feels like forever from now... I hope it will be as good as her other mini- albums *fingers crossed!*. I enjoyed FIVE very much and Memorial address is my second favorite album, period. I am very much looking forward to this one!

WARNING was a better effort and looked really good, I just hope they can make up beat songs PVs interesting.

Those 4 pv's wasn't bad as the some songs of them. XOXO and Angel song are just so irritating so I don't watch these PV's but I remember XOXO was pretty funny and Angel is very pretty (she looks amazing and the scenography is awesome)
I prefer some dancer around her than "she is standing by the piano" like in The GIFT.

I miss pv's like STEP you, ourselves, alterna, BoY...

or even walking proud

I don't like WARNING PV. I prefer Lelio. And XOXO pv is so fun/parodic that I can not hate it.

walking proud's director died of cancer unfortunately rip (I think it was the only PV he did for ayu), but she had many more amazing PVs, I just think she should try new ones rather than use older ones, but she likes to make them however she wants to and sometimes it succeeds. Some of her more recent PVs are few of her best. XOXO and Lelio were just for fun and that's how they looked like.
