Yes, she had leg extensions a few days before the shot.

Or maybe they just photoshopped her. Like I said... I find it pretty apparent that her body figure is thoroughly modified, by professionals that has stayed to the laws of anatomy while still distorting it.

^I don't know actually. I mean, look at the CD only cover, anyone else think that ayu's mid-bod (from under chest to hips) looks drawn/computer editted? Maybe it's just the pic quality, but it really looks funny to me o_0

It's not meant to look edited, but if you've seen it being made, seen someone edit the anatomy of a person...

It doesn't look edited, but it doesn't look natural. Only the stir up around this in this thread is kinda proof enough to me that it's edited. If it wasn't, people wouldn't notice the same way.

I think that her thighs aren't that large from the side, and the fabric of the dress was tighter in that area, so.. perhaps it created a really thin look?

Maybe it's because the dress was photoshopped into being pitch black, instead of looking normal.

That does distort the shape some, but it is also something that makes it incredibly easy to simply adjust the hips, the ass, the less, whatever, a millimeter or two to make it look more perfect, while still maintaining a natural but noticeably unnatural look.

Or whoever photographed this shoot is just so amazing that they made it sort of look like it was photoshopped when it really wasn't by using amazing lighting and stuff..

Not putting out any personal views and ideas, i'm just saying that THIS IS WHAT THEY DO. and it's supposed to look natural. Not unnatural.

I also like how ayu's thighs were like, edited out. lol ^_^

EDIT: Hey, I love her hair though...it's so curly and long! Anyone have any tips on how to make good spiral curls like that ._.

Why are you trying so hard to get people to believe that it wasn't photoshopped? (Especially when it obviously was.) Almost all professional pictures are photoshopped, it's not that big a deal or a bad thing.

Indeed, but that example is extreme. As for this picture, I think they just slightly adjusted her shape, the width of her proportions.

No clue how to make them, but damn, she's got a lot of extensions.

I know it was photoshopped somehow, but I still don't think it was edited to the extent of extending her waist and stuff.. I mean look at the Sweet preview of the 2007 calendar..



I think that this type of dress has some sort of effect on Ayu's height.. it looks so.. different..

I think one of the give aways that it might be photoshopped is by observation of the contours of her body. If you observe carefully, you'll realise that on either side of Ayu's waist, the curves are too perfect, in fact, for long time users of any image editing software, you WOULD realise that the entire section looks vectorized and highly unnatural.

I don't deny the fact that Ayu's waist can actually be that slim. My waist is 28 inches (Oops, ok, I'm horrendously thin) and when I face the mirror, it is actually possible to achieve a waistline that appears like that when you're wearing a dress that's tight fitting at that area. Like seriously. Because my personal anatomy is like that of a sponge, wide when facing the front, but slim when faced to the side. (Ok, I'm so self-derogatory.) If you know of any friends who are slim (or thin), you MIGHT be able to observe their body shape as such. Hence, it is entirely likely for Ayu to have her body shape like that.

I think one of the best indications is during Ayu's Arena Tours. If you look at AT05 and AT06, during the encore sections, you can observe that Ayu really has a sleek waistline.

All in all, I can say is that yup, I'm pretty sure myself that that cover had been photoshopped, but I'm not denying that it could be probable Ayu's body shape actually looks like that. Added on to the fact that if Ayu has an iron fist control over the image portrayed on the covers, I'm sure Ayu WOULD have noticed it but if it truly was her natural body posture, she would have gone ahead with it.

I think the fact that she's raising her arms so high like that as well as the fact that she's pushing her butt out makes it look sort of unnatural, especially with how thin Ayu is [doesn't it sorata seem like her bust is too low? O_O]
