A question about Ayu's eyes...

I still it looks better without all the heavy mascare back in 1999 and 2000...I think I've said this zillion times...literally.

But Ruby and Vicki definately gives Ayu a run for her money

i dont noe about her eyes because her eyes in her older singles looks "non-plastic surgeried".....so maybe it is the makeup....
but i can almost be sure she had plastic surgery of some kind.... because i think she looks very different from when she was a model.
i think she had plastic surgery on her nose.

Haha, it's the eye thing again. I think it's really debatable to say that Ayu had plastic surgery or again, not have plastic surgery.

I think many people find it unconceivable for someone to have such big eyes so yar, maybe that's where the plastic surgery theory popped up or some anti-ayu fan made up rumour that has snowballed into a point of contention over Ayu now.

I mean for me, I'll probably settle for Ayu now than dwelling on her past. Especially her eyes. I mean I do have to agree that her eyes are much bigger now than when she was younger. I personally believe that she did had a minor plastic surgery but then again, other pictures of her proved otherwise.

It's ok if Ayu did have plastic surgery but I don't think that really matters. I mean afterall, if you got to look at someone, look at Michael Jackson (sorry, no offence intended).

Overall, Ayu is still pretty and I still love her for who she is. So Go Ayu!

In the making-of Endless sorrow PV on 'A Clips 2', there's a shot of her in a black coat singing along to the boy in the PV. And in that shot, she has less make-up on and hair not styled properly. She looks alot like some really old Ayu photos, except with blonde hair that is

Every time this comes up, I always want to mention this but fail to ever take the time to reply. Her eyes are very puffy and and look like her modeling days in this clip. I don't believe she was wearing any make up at all though. Also, if you notice in the stadium tour dvd, during the segments of the rehearsal, you can tell there is a major difference when she is not wearing any make up at all. I've noticed that during rehearsals and other practices, she doesn't wear make up and she's said in past interviews that she doesn't wear make up in private. I guess that would apply to things that are not so much in the public eye, not only her being by herself or with friends. But I honestly believe she has had no surgery at all, because make-up makes a HUGE difference. And if she would have had surgery, her eyes would not look the way they do when she has no make up.

i the difference is because of make up and photography angle which make the size looks variable.look at the swimsuit young ayu. the eye is already nice.it even had eyelids.her hair was colored,nose got make up to make it looked slender,and her teeth got treatment to create the current ayu look. but there's a major rumor about she had an acupuncture to make the eyelids even more visible though...

for the >sorry< boobs, probably, it's just push up bra or maturity change

Her eyes are natural. sometimes the put Preperation H on the buttom eye lids to reduce puffy eyes. Then again.. there is photo shop..

Yeah its probably just the angle, makeup light setting etc. Here are some pics from her younger years... Her eyes look the same as now, so if she did have a surgery, ot must have been when she was like.. 15 years old^^

I love how this topic always pops up.
Here's the thing, make-up really does make a difference. Not only that, when was the last time there was a good, professional pic of her sans make-up? The only recent ones I've seen have been paparazzi shots and her eyes in those look really small, puffy & there are obvious wrinkles. Also, I believe that she purposely opens her eyes wider in photo shots, resulting in what some people call her "blank stare."
She addressed the issue once, very briefly, on the show "Konban wa" when Akiko Wada was like, "You have REALLY BIG eyes!" Ayu was like, "Really?..." and gave some explanation. She said her eyeballs were big, so that's why, some reason like that.
Anyways, her eyes are weird. Sometimes they look very round, other times they look almond shaped. She has a very tightly controlled image, her eyes are a part of that image. If she's not made-up, cameras basically aren't allowed on her.

Here's why: A few weeks ago on Inside Edition there was a report towards the end of the show about how photographers hire people who specialize in digital airbrushing and photo retouch to make photographed models and celebrities have "enhanced" features. A photographer had taken a picture of a magazine model and gave the photo card to the photo retouch woman. The woman showed how she used a computer program (it wasn't Photoshop, Paint Shop Pro, Corel, or the like) to make her lips bigger by just clicking on the center of her bottom lip once. One click made her lips noticeably bigger, even though in reality her lips were nowhere near that size. She also showed how she can make someone with squinted eyes have them appear larger and more opened again by using a mousepad.

Therefore, photo retouchers and airbrushing professionals can easily reshape, resize, and enhance anyone's eyes despite whether they're small, large, closed, or open. Ayu's eyes in reality are exactly like they are in ~K+'s pictures. Also, makeup isn't everything. Notice in the picture I quoted above that Ayu is wearing makeup in both halves of the picture but the right one looks bigger, again thanks to digital editing.
