What japan needs changed is the owner/slave relationship companies put on those in entertainment and in many cases in the workplace in general and put in proper employer/employee boundaries. This subject just came up in my chat group on facebook and it is much worse than I imagined it was for those in enterainment especially. A member of AKB48 was just fired for deciding to sleep at her boyfriend's place.

It's different for idols, artists like Ayu, Utada and Namie are allowed to do what they want in their personal lives as we've seen. I don't know why anyone would choose to be an idol.

Remember that it also depends on the company. Like GIZA for instance, Koshi Inaba and Tak Matsumoto from B'z are both are married and have kids. The artists from that company have a life outside of the spotlight. So, not every record company in Japan is like that. O.o;

Doesn't mean they're different, it just means those 2 got approval from them. They also could have said no and made them choose between their spouse or their career.

We don't know for sure, this is just assumptions and theories~ I really don't think Avex would have chosen for Ayu to get married and divorced to some random foreigner or Namie to marry, get knocked up by, go on hiatus and then divorce at the peak of her career~

^I know I have no chance with Joseph Gordon Levett. I would LOVE to marry him, but I know its not going to happen. If he gets married I will be happy for him and hope for the best. I don't think its healthy for entertainment companies to promote the delusion that the fans have a chance with their idol by forcing them to be single. Although, I guess its those fans who buy anything and everything an idol puts out, go to every concert, buy all the swag with the idol's face plastered all over it.

And on some level I don't really want to meet Joseph. He's not the person that my mind perceives him to be, I might actually hate the real him.
