Arena Tour 2004-2005 (Countdown Live part) Update
So I don't know if this counts as news or not, or if this is in the right forum, but I thought it was interesting. Obviously her countdown concerts are really popular, but here's an e-mail my travel agent sent me when I had written him about getting tickets:
We received the reply from our Tokyo office. Unfortunately, the tickets of both dates are already sold out, and they don't have any way to get the tickets. As you know, she is very much popular, and her fan club got most of the tickets, and the rest of the tickets have been sold out on the first day they started to sell. I feel sorry that I couldn't help your plan. Thank you. p.s. You may want to try net auction. ----------- So even if her popularity is decreasing, she can still sell-out a concert in one day. |

I have to say I'm not surprised.
I'm sorry you couldn't get your tickets, but hearing your story makes me want to share mine. But dont think I'm trying to brag or show off in anyway. I'm actually lucky enough to be in Japan and in the fanclub as well at the moment, and I applied for CDL ticket for the 31st show. I didn't want to see a CDL show that wasn't on new years eve. I put in my application for an early ticket through TeamAyu, having decided if I dont get one through the fanclub I wont even try the normal avenues of buying tickets. Luckily for me, I did get one through the fanclub, and I thought 'Wow! This will be amazing! I'll prolly be on the floor/arena area, way up close!'. When I purchased my ticket and receieved it, I discovered that not only was I not on the floor area, my ticket was for the south stand, second block up. My point of this story? So many tickets get allocated to fanclub members, how many tickets to they leave for other fans? I really didn't think that so many tickets would be allocated for fanclub members, I thought maybe the floor area only, as thats the closest and best area. I can't imagine how quickly the few seats that are left would sell out. Now it worries me because I missed the deadline to apply for fanclub tickets for next years Arena Tour so I hope I can still get some. |

Sorry to hear you didn't get tickets. Pity that the bulk of tickets go to the fanclub, and there's not many ways of getting tickets.

It's nice to know she sold the tickets so quickly, but I'm sorry you couldn't get them. I guess its a good thing though that her tickets are highly sought after, right?

Yeah, as you know voltron, I'm in the same boat as you. I'm also going to be in Japan and want to obtain tickets for one of her Arena tour dates and haven't been able to find a way to do so.
I think that it is fine that the fan club gets first dibs, I just don't think it is fair that only people in Japan can join the fan club. That leaves all of the people that are outside of Japan that are willing to travel there just to see Ayu live with really no way to get a ticket. The only thing I can recommend to you now is to try and buy a ticket off of a scalper if there are any. You shouldn't be forced to have to pay like double the price though for seats that aren't likely to be any good... |

I didn't know the fan club was only for people living in Japan... man, that's a downer...
Sorry you could get tickets! It's still really cool to know she's still so popular - I have a really good feeling about this Arena Tour. |

Thanks everyone. I kinda thought tickets would be near impossible to get, I just hope that I get to see her live before she eventually retires because I'm sure I won't be in Japan again until 2007-2008 at the absolute earliest, and that's not even close to definite.
But I'm still happy that she's selling out concerts. |

Hey Matt you're lucky. I also applied for the CDL ticket by the TeamAyu and I had 2 tickets, so I should say we are lucky. I also think that there are a lot of tickets reserved for the TeamAyu, I saw that in some japanese BBS, some people will be on the 2nd floor. So I should say I'm very lucky since I will be in the arena part.
I think to best way to have some tickets after the TA website is to pre-order them by the net. I have 2 links the first seems to have some tickets for the CDL. Since I can't read japanese I not sure if you can apply or not but you can try them : http://t.pia.co.jp/news/ad/hamasaki/hamasaki.jsp http://www.kokodake.net/pc/

Congrats on getting Arena seats!!! I'm so jealous of you! I would do anything for Arena seats. I thought my chances of an Arena seat would've been higher as I only wanted one seat, but oh well. I'm in the second level of D block in the south stand. Of course I shouldn't complain because there are people in Japan and even on this board who weren't able to get tickets.
But an arena seat!!! LUCKY! |
