the ayumi hamasaki iTunes cover project

I was adding album art to my iTunes and very quickly I noticed how meticulous it really is. If you're OCD like me when it comes to your music, then any old cover from Google just won't do. Sure, it may look fine in the grid view, but in cover flow it looks horrible, especially if they're varying sizes and quality. I found out that when you buy albums from the iTunes store, the covers are usually 600x600, but if you're dealing with HQ, the space can mount up. It's just cover art, so the space doesn't really need to be that big, especially when it's on your iPod.

So, what did I do? Well, I went around the web and picked out 600x600 versions of ayu's covers. For ones that were over 150k or so, I went in Photoshop and saved them for the web, and this is the result!

Notice I don't have everything, i.e. the DVD covers. Why? Because they're awkwardly sized and actually, if you go on the iTunes store, the CD only covers are the ones featured, probably for the same reason. Of course, there are covers where the awkwardness can't be avoided, like the 3'' singles, Boys & Girls, ayu-mi-x III, etc., so I just rounded off the higher span to 600.

I still have a bit to go, so if you see something that's not here yet and wanna help, please do so! Just keep the following in mind:

-Must be 600x600, unless it's an "awkward" (see above)
-Try to keep the filesize at 150k max.
-No DVD covers (yet), please!

You don't use covers at all O_O Woah, lol. it's hard for me to not do that, I'm OCD about my song info & covers. I hate it when I'm flippin through my music, and a song is missin a cover, or its not HQ enough.

Thank you so much, you have no idea how helpful you are. Some covers (like Duty and Far away) are harder to find in good quality and look "bleh" unless you take a lot of time to find a good one on the internet. Or, sometimes albums like LOVEppears and GUILTY have black or white bars on the top and bottom....are they supposed to? (Maybe because the obi takes up part of the image, but I dunno)

The only annoying part is finding decent album art for vinyls, SUPER EUROBEAT CDs and other rare stuffs. >_<
