There is many part of it didn't sound like her own lyric at all. Maybe this lyric might be another-made-up-lyric, but we could never know. From what i think it's just another-made-up-lyric. I mean look! It doesn't sound like her song at all...

jasjasss 3rd July 2004 04:10 AM

sounds like Ayu lyrics !! go ayu !!

Mitkki 3rd July 2004 04:54 AM

Ehh... I didn't think it sounded like Ayu's writing too. I don't know....it feels kind of...held back i guess? Her viewpoints are very different now. I guess she's done with that old part of her. But these lyrics seem very un-Ayu if you compare them with older lyrics. I guess it's all going with her transitions. I just hope she's still being true to herself. I guess she's just so...happy now.

even in the ntv special interview 2004, she was willing to take reporters back to fukuoka, her hometown where she had unhappy memories as a child, a lonely childhood lack of love....she was willing to reveal her unhappy past, in A Ballad, the theme was the present ayu forgiving the past ayu, her unhappy past she is leaving behind not because she hides it beneath her memory, but she has learned to accept that, and let it be part of her life, for ayu there's no need to run away from that and feel lost anymore, "ibashou ga nakatta (i got not home) does not apply to her anymore, she now has dreams, she has love, and she has forgiven/accepted her past and all her unhappy memories

ayu had definitely grown up~

*clap clap* This post made me smile :)

Thanks for the translation, masa-san.

i guess one thing we ayu fans love is her character, her great mentality, and wonderful skills in puttin those thoughts into lyrics of her song

ayu has grown so much of this 5 years that i sometimes found her level of maturity quite astonishing~ she is one strong woman that knows completely which she needs and how to get it and would have the will to go out there and work hard for it~

I'm so proud of Ayu. She's really revealed to the music world what her life was like through her music. It's true....back then in the "A Song for XX", "LOVEppears", and "Duty" eras, Ayu constantly sang about despair, sadness, and her lost in dreams.

Slowly...she began to relaize who she was....and the RAINBOW album came along, something fans saw as Ayu showing her dreams. Then yes, in A BALLADS with RAINBOW, she forgave herself and helped herself realize that her past made who she was at that time.

From that on to "Memorial address"......Ayu has really opened the book of her life. I'm so proud of her na dlove her so much! GO AYU!

If it hadnt of been for your comment, I may have hated this song.
You're right... She's really improved.

Anisa 10th July 2004 08:03 AM

It is very significant, her changes in her lyrics and the way she expressed her life and see it and write it through her lyrics, just like all of you have been saying, but one thing that I wanted to know, Ayu was a child lack of love and she had sad life as a child, can anybody tell me more about it, I would like to know.

Anyway I am new here, so minna HELLO!

Whit3FoX 15th July 2004 06:08 AM

Live life to the fullest. Don't go on without love or dreams. It's along the lines of "You only live once, so live well" and she is also saying it's not corny.

NECRO1999 19th July 2004 02:05 PM

I think that "INSPIRE" has a very cool feeling to it. I know that I blast it whenever I go driving!

Is it just me or does the music have a Morning Musume feel to it? I think it's probably because of the arabic sound~

Whatever the case, I love it, and thanks for the translation! I can't get enough of this song!

Ayu_fan89 15th August 2004 10:27 AM

Thanks a lot for the lyrics!
