losing one ear is not gonna affect her singing anyways. maybe her co-workers will have to repeat themselves a few times.

lumieregrl 9th April 2008 10:29 PM

The fans singing to her is really sweet though!

50kg, huh? *looks it up* Holy bageezus! That's 110 pounds?! Dang!

Well, to be honest, I don't see how her ear would miracuously recover after all that's happened, so I'm not surprised.

Interesting to read, though. Thanks.

it does, and it has been making it difficult for her to sing live these days. you use both your ears to be able to hear others, and when you are a singer you use them to be able to hear yourself. since she lost hearing in the leaf ear, she can only hear herself through one ear and it can cause unstable pitch in her singing. We have seen it in CDL 07-08 and other live performances so far, but I admire her resilience to keep trying. The only way she gets better is if she keeps practicing

ayu_fantasy 19th April 2008 04:47 PM

All the best ayu..... :) Just hope she's doing fine.... :)

there have been several cases of half deafened singers who got back to their normal standard if not better, after a while because they get used to singing with one ear unusable.
lols i remember reading it somewhere a while ago, but neways look at beethoven!!!
he was deaf, yet he was still making music that was like....=\
impossible to the deafs
lols

Well, Beethoven didn't sing, he composed. I hope she's able to adjust to her ear condition, considering the concert reports, I don't think we have to worry about her singing voice.

che0173 20th April 2008 12:38 AM

yeaaa he didn't sing
but still, she composes music doesn't she?
and if she was to compose then attempt to sing it whilst at home or something
then she'd be like no it doesn't sound right etc

lovelism 29th April 2008 09:42 AM

Hmm....Misleading...

Thats said based on your ignorance. An ear isnt enough especially during a live where Ayu can hear instructions given by the background crew at times until the concert is seen to be settling smoothly. Furthermore Ayu is now left with just an ear to hear herself over the loud, blaring music.
Any singers will tell you that they do not want to lose their hearing, not even the slightest.
