I swear, it's like Hikki is the only one I call by her last name haha... I just find Utada easier than Hikaru :shrug lol. And that was before Exodus, so I wasn't influenced by that.

Oh well haha. I'd find it weird to call Ayu, Hamasaki, or Ai Otsuka, Otsuka lol.

Although I could see why someone would think it was the second option.
I try to always stick to the original pronounciation of foreign words unless it's much too diffiicult to pronounce. But Japanese pronounciation is pretty easy to me.

Her first name isn't the problem for me, what I'd like to know is if I'm pronouncing Amuro correctly. It's "ah-muu-row" and not "ah-myoo-row," right?

At first I was pronouncing it as "Na-Mee" but after hearing the voice from one of her single CM's I heard it pronounce as "Na-Mee-Eh". It took a while but now I'm used to saying "Na-Mee-Eh" :)
