I think Kuu has gotten Triple Crowns twice or something before as well, maybe in 2006 at least since she had so many #1s released that year. :3

I feel like a bad Ayu fan for hoping Kuu would pass Ayu's 48 consecutive Top 10 hits record... ;__; I hate to be a fan of the "rivals". XD

It has nothing to do with being a bad fan! :heart You just want the same success and prestige for one artist you love, as the other artist you love achieved. Kuu, Ayu and Namie are the triple powerhouses of solo female pop artists in Japan right now (IMO) and they all deserve as much awards and recognition as they can get.

I just finished watching Live Tour 2006-2007 Second Session... and I swear I never even realized their were quite a few Kuu fans taking off their shirts to wave them around and they're only wearing a bra underneath. But then I saw Kuu strip down to her panties on stage, so I was less surprised.

Ku's dubstep is different though. She uses dubstep elements and not full on hectic sound. On Driving Hit's 4 she had a lot of that as well as on Beach Mix. I love that type of style when it's some sort of dubstep/trance sounding hybrid.

So, Kuu is pretty much releasing singles, then a cover album with PVs we are assuming, so possibly a +DVD release, and then a studio album? That seems odd :P

Oh, Live Tour 2006-2007, that is so awesome. :D I saw the Love goes like... performance from it and that was the one that made me want to watch the whole concert. I really enjoyed everything about it though that outfit for D.D.D. was horrible. XD The most epic part of the concert was the Love goes like... performance and also that stripping ending. x3 Kuu is so bold, I love that♥

Yep to everything till the cover album. I dont think we'll get a studio album till November/December, there are just two a-side tracks so far and she's working on the cover album... Probably we'll get a summer maxi single, then a one or two a-sided single around October and finally the 11th album around Christmas :) But that's my guess only.

Maybe Kuu will surprise us with a summer studio album around July/August? :D She hasn't released studio albums in summer yet so it would be awesome too♥

I was wondering if we are going to get some sort of cover/studio album hybrid.

But usually her pre-album singles have poor sales and don't get all the attention [she performs the songs themselves a lot, but the promotion focus is towards the album], and her summer singles are avex biggest bet on the year when it comes to Kuu singles... That's why I don't see her releasing an album in the middle of year. Releasing an album between December and early January is much better cause there are all those special lives for xmas and the end of the year, the xmas boost on sales as well...

That's why I think it is unlikely to happen, but then she could surprise.

Maybe she could pair them like BEST ~third universe~ and UNIVERSE, but I don't see her releasing a hybrid album...

Well, sometimes she add some cover songs in her albuns (Yume with you, Ima sugu hoshii, Venus, etc...) but I don't see something like "half brand new songs/cover album".

The interludes were great, with more acting and less jokes, they were pretty similar to Kingdom's interludes.

She seemed so happy during the whole concert, it was really amazing even it was just a dream XD

Yeah, I only remember some parts of the show, like it was a digest or something lol, and I don't remember all the outfits and everything, but the setlist was pretty much like this.

I was thinking that a cover/studio album hybrid would be interesting as a future project of hers. I like the idea of her continuing cover albums because I simply can't get enough of them. She brings some classic songs to my attention and modifies them to be entirely hers, which is what MAKES a good cover, IMO. I've been jamming out to her Eternity ~Love & Songs~ album and DVD audio rip for a while now :heart simply can't get enough of it.

I can't see us getting a studio album for a while yet, however she did surprise the hell out of me during 2010, what with UNIVERSE, her third best album, Driving Hits 2, AND Eternity... Granted Eternity came out six months after the rest of that, but still! That's tons of stuff for one year.

恋しくて is so great!! i know it's the typical j-pop ballad formuoli and i expected it to be like this, BUT when i'm shopping through the city and listen to the song i could sing along and do theatrical arm moves! :laugh
BUT i would love if she would release a No Way/Okay type of ballad or something with house/ambient elements in a ballad as single!

her Remix Albums usually comes after a studion album...

and then another limited 56th single + 11th album after that 1 or 2 week/s later in may around the time her tour ends!

then starts her 12th album era with her new 57th (4 song summer) single and Beach Mix 2...
and do a little 11-15 concerts fall/winter arena tour like she did for JAPONESQUE!

I've been wondering, since ETERNITY had good sales and they seem to be preparing this new cover album with as much or even more effort than the first one, I am really hoping for a handful lives on TV for the cover album :D She did perform Megumi no hito and BE MY BABY, but the lives were like a month after the album was already out. It'd be cool if she promoted it - almost - as much a studio album :)

I at first thought Koishikute was pretty forgettable, but tbh I get it stuck in my head more often than not these days. That's kind of a mark of a song's brilliance for me: if I can remember it lol. Nothing will ever top Suki dex3/Anata dake ga for me, though.

I think 'Koishikute' has been quite a hit and miss single with western fans :D Some love it and some just think it's boring and forgettable, which is fine. :D I hope the Japanese public love it, though. I originally thought it was as generic and boring as I personally find 'Ai Wo Tomenaide' (kuu's most boring ballad to me, sorry kuu D: ), but after another listen to the longer preview I turned to really like it, and the melody got stuck in my head. I really like the melody, and how it gets more epic after the first verse. :) I thought the covers could have been more imaginative, though.

^I think it seems like the sort of ballad they'd eat up. It has the benefit of having Kuu's emotional voice back it up too: She sounds especially heartbroken in the song, which gives it character.

Incidentally, is there a translation of Koishikute anywhere? Or at least the kanji and romaji? I should start translating Kuu lyrics now lol

Glad to see JAPONESQUE at #1 on Mumo, Even despite no promotion. :D Surprised Name's 'Uncontrolled' was only at #8 considering it did well...Although I think a lot of western fans bought that album cause it was mostly in English. Glad to see Ayu's 'LOVE' at #5, too, I liked that mini album. :)

I still can't get enough of Go to the top. It's at #17 of my top 50 played songs in iTunes. Go to the top is going to the top everywhere. Perfectly perfect song.

She has so many iconic dances :D I think the most iconic ones for me that I remember well are TABOO, Get up and move, Cutie Honey, BUT, FREAKY, lollipop, Selfish, Megumi No Hito, BE MY BABY, POP DIVA etc. I would probably remember all of them the next time I watch her tours and lives. :D I pretty much love all her dances, especially her tour dance battles, they are always amazing. I really like Love Me Back and GTTT's dance, too! I always imagine kuu's dance when I listen to GTT :)

Also, that performance was awesome. I loved her kuute 'Merry Christmas!' at the end. :D

Now I want to download and watch Kuu's Tours. ):

Butterfly and Be My Baby are my most memorable. They are the ones I think she always performs the same, no matter what the stage. I would have said Shake It and Get Up and Move!!, too. But, I think she has done them differently from their PV dances.

The most memorable imo is Cutie Honey, it's the same since the beginning (Butterfly she changed on Dream Music Park iirc). My favorites are Shake it, TABOO, Selfish and ESCALATE. :D
