Cantopop vs. Mandopop
What do you prefer, or rather, what makes up a bigger percentage of your library?
Mandarin for me...I can understand some of it, but not Cantonese. I also tend to prefer the trends of Taiwanese artists over HK artists, with some notable exceptions (Karen Mok....OH MY GOD KAREN MOK!!!!) |
Sorry, mods, I thought I was in the polls subforum when I posted this. >_<;

Mandarin pop
|
C-pop.
|
Mandopop
I rarely listen to cantopop...Something about the language when sung is a bit weird for me~ But I do like some of the classics in cantopop |
Mandopop for sure :yes

Mandopop. Cantopop is too accented for my liking, especially in ballads. Plus I've been exposed more to Mandopop.

AyuHamasaki01: language ;)
Canto / Mando.. it is really hard question, mandarin chinese sounds a little bit better for my ears, but my most favourite artists sing in cantonese (Joey, Karen etc.) so i cant choose ..i just prefer chinese music :) |
if jolin is a Mando so it's my favorite then :D
|
I always think people speaking/singing in Cantonese are fighting....
|
both equally!
|
I like them both equally.
I understand Mandarin music more than Cantonese music though. |
mandopop. but one thing i dont really like about mandopop is that their lyrics usually dont make any sense.
|
Mandopop, it doesn't seem as boring as Cantopop in my opinion. Sad thing is, I understand Cantonese better than Mandarin. LOL
