Has Ayu beaten Seiko Matsuda's record...?
Has Ayu beaten Seiko Matsuda's record to have the most consecutive number one singles by a female artist?
You were.../BALLAD is Ayu's 22th consecutive #1 single, right? Exactly how many consecutive #1 singles does Seiko have? o.O (I've heard it somewhere that Seiko has 24 consecutive #1 singles but I'm just unsure) thanks in advance guys |

^ yeah.. i know it, but what I mean is the "consecutive" one... :rolleyes
|
^^Not yet. With the release of the 50th single, assuming that gets #1, she will break the record (or tie it, I always forget).
|
seiko seemed to have 24 consecutive singles starting Kaze wa Aki Irol / Eighteen in 1980 till Tabidachi wa Freesia in 1988

What about ayu?
|
^Ayu's had straight #1s since Free & Easy. (would be longer, but the recut Daybreak only got to #2)
|
ayu got 22 right? :D 3 more to break Seiko's! :D
thanks for the info~~~ :) |
so with these next 3 singles, toppin with her 50th single she will break the record :D <3
|
This is a bigger reason I want to see these three singles do really well, aside from them resulting in Ayu's 50th single :D
|
so they must plan the release smartly..
release during a week where theres no super popular artistes/band :P |
Hope she manages to break the record!!!
|
she will, if everyone buys her cd!!!
i'm getting both CD+DVD~~~ |
