well, i think it's time for me to come to this thread :laugh
i love boa, and she was ma first asian artist <3 and i even have some original albums bought so.. here i am xD |
^she was my first asian artist as well! i think i have already told this story before but oh well, i love saying it:
when i was 9 or something i accidentally downloaded boa's Amazing Kiss video, and i loooooved it so much!! every day i would watch it alteast once! but then i kinda forgot about it and 3 years orso later i began to like asian music and then i saw boa and it was just wooooow so awesome XDDDD and thats my story.... how interesting was it :lech |

^i really like some of the music she made in AVEX, but lately .. well, she's not doing music as good as she used :( and that's a pity, because we know this gurl can do it always amazing

She was my second asian artist after Ayu. If DO THE MOTION didn't existed, I wouldn't go interested in her = discover more asian music = love this music probably. I'm happy she was my first k-pop artist, even though I didn't know it at first. :laugh :heart |
I found BoA through Inuyasha with Every Heart :heart LOVE that song.

i can't even remember how i discovered BoA, lol. all i remember is that i heard of her back in 2007, so i checked out her music. at the time, i LOVED sweet impact. still do :heart

Yeah I heard of BoA with "Every heart" just because people wouldn't shut up about it and Inuyasha at the time. I never got into Inuyasha but I love the song.

BoA's Every Heart was also the first song I heard from her....I liked it but I was like "meh who cares." After a while she did that horrid US album and I heard it and I was like "no way the person who sang Every Heart did this"...so I went back and checked out her past Japanese discography and loved it. I also found one of my favorite songs, Eien. I'm still waiting for that same excitement about BoA to return....sadly...it doesnt seem like it'll come with her Japanese works....looking forward to Korea return

I really don't get how people can say her US album was horrible! I loved it! Hypnotic Dancefloor is genius. I loved Eat You Up, I Did It For Love, and Obsessed as well!
If you wanna talk about horrible US albums from Japanese artists... check out the girl who was given a second chance and STILL couldn't get it right. In fact, it was worse the second time around! I think I first heard Every Heart too. I remember hearing BoA mentioned a lot when I was getting into JPOP and downloaded a lot of her songs/albums. I tend to like the poppy-BoA songs like "Snow White" "Etude" "Milky Way" etc... I wish she'd do another US album! I don't understand why it wasn't a bigger hit. :( |
I really liked the US album too. I Did It For Love, Energetic, Obsessed, all those songs are so good.

I really love the US album ♥ I love the tracks! Though the vocoder is a bit heavy in some songs....but they're so addicting ♥
