Crossroad 49th Single Speculation Thread I
 

Im starting a new thread for the crossroad singe the other thread is for Moon/blossom.
Discuss it here.
So far the chaku uta has been released, and nothing else is known, apart from the fact
that we expect it to be released sometime in August

Yeah, it's quite odd. Maybe their angle is to play on nostalgia? MOON/blossom has that nostalgic feel as well.

Yea i was scared to start one myself 2 :P
But i decided to do it wtv. Yea maybe, i have a feeling we'll see more of a tie in
with the last two singles than with the first one
for examples vogue's cover had nothing to do with the other two,
but the last two covers of her first trilogy were related so i guess they might do the same?

From what I can (barely) hear. I like the melody, but dislike the composition. sounds like the same instruments she's been using in her previous songs. But I hope this single is just called "crossroads". I am fairly tired of this, double A-side, thing she has going on.

Yea i want there to be 2 songs in the single, but only one name like Talkin 2 Myself
which had decisions I like it having only one name XP

even though it is just a short preview, i really like it. it sounds like the old-school ayu:)

To me, it has a bit of a Seasons/winding road/replace sort of feeling. I don't love it, but I don't hate it. Maybe the full version will make me like it a bit more, but as of right now, I'm pretty apathetic about it ^^;

Hmmm I just downloaded it. I can't decide if I like the preview. well, I like all ayu songs by default lol but I'm not sure what I think of it. I was expecting something a bit faster. Moon and blossom (from what Ive heard) seem kinda slow or mellow and so does this new one.

Omg your so right! T_T i always saw the three pictures but for some reason i thought the top
part of the hat that shows in vogue was ayu's hand so in far away i didnt see her with both hands up so i assumed they werent the same picture! so sorry! >.<

while we're on the subject. I always wondered who the guy was that's standing next to ayu in the far away picture. anyone know?

I can't stand the preview and hope the upcoming HQ will be a lot better or I will be very disappointed. I'm already tired of that kind of music. I need another Sparkle, STEP you or About You!

I am in love with the preview so far. I've been loving how nostalgic MOON/blossom sounded, so I love this direction she's been taking for these singles!

I'm not sure how I feel about the preview, my hatred for previews have grown because they NEVER do the songs justice. But I'm leaning more towards liking this song.

I feel the same way sometimes, but I prefer it to be at least double A-sided because if many of her past singles had been released as single a-sided... I would've probably hated them, lol. You were.../BALLAD for example, at least for me, could not have worked at all standing alone. But instead of making two OK a-sides, I'd prefer a really really strong single one, like Mirrorcle World or talkin' 2 myself.

Same for me. I am leaning towards not liking this song. Going to wait for an higher quality preview and the full version to judge this song the right way.

I do like double a-sides. but lately it seems to be the only thing she's been releasing.
