What to do about Shu.
 

So. I've been a fan of Ayumi for a decent amount of time... and there's something that's always bugged me.

SHUYA.

What is the deal with Shuya? I'm sure he's a lovely person... but am I the only one confused as to why he's getting so much attention? Gomi (can't spell his name... sorry) is a much better dancer than Shuya.

Every concert I hope to GOD that Ayumi isn't going to sing a ballad which has him flailing wildly around the stage looking like someone being shocked in the bottom by a bolt of electricity. But, he always... shows up. :thud

I'm sure he's a great dancer. But the dances he does at concerts, when he goes all "time-consumingly-solo" are so... STUPID LOOKING.

He just walks around the stage, doing his whole "Ayu is over there! And I'm here... and she's over there... and I need to get to her... but I can't because... I'm... Dancing...So...EMOTIONALLY!" dance-like-thing. Sometimes, I swear I even see Ayumi laugh because of how ridiculous he looks.

Who choreographs what he does? I seriously wouldn't be surprised if he just makes it up on the spot. It's that stupid looking. I'm a dancer by the way... I know what I'm judging.

I don't know. Just... what are your opinions? Maybe I'm alone in this.

He has been getting the shaft from Ayu since late 2009 :) the focus is more on Maro & Midoring now. Shu-ya still gets a solo dance on one song, but yeah it's only one now not everything like in the past lol

i'm also not a fan of Shuya, i don't think he can "act" very well...but i still prefer him over Gomi, imo i think Gomi is the worst dancer.

Mh, I like him a lot! And also his dances!^^ Furthermore I find that he's very sexy...:lech

I also don't like his dance. I always thing "Oh not.. not again".. when he starts his same dance again and again.

lol that's so funny because it's true. I am not a fan of Shuya at all any more, I used to think he was hot though.

I think it's easy to put the focus on him during shows because he does seem to naturally stand apart. When you're watching all the dancers together, it's easy for whatever reason for the eye to go to him. So singling him out is probably just instinctive, and it's a crowd-pleaser because many of them were already watching him anyway.

I love Shuya, but i'm also kinda annoyed by his 5 hour long dance solos (I know they aren't 5 hours long xD)
I would love to see Gomi getting more attention since he's my favoruite dance, but I'm happy either way, als song as not Shuya is getting ALL the attention but the others too

Hm I think Ayu said something about Shuya being good at expressing emotion.

I find him cute, but eh...over it.

somehow in Japan, SHU-YA has a lot of fans.. but... bleh, he kinda sux bigtime.

to the ballads, and his emotions, their repetitive and way over exagerated

Well, I don't like Shuya either. But I think his expressions are not that bad :rolleyes

I just hate how he always comes out of the same poopy place with the same poopy clothes. Looking like a poop person. POOPY!

I try not to pay that much attention to him, but I do admit that sometimes (as in the BALLAD pv) I found myself being annoyed. I wanted to see more Ayu, not Shu-ya! If he'd been my type, well, maybe I'd been more happy...but he (and in general, all of her dancers) get a lot of time in the spotlight. And that's ok of course, if that's what she wants, but I'm a fan of her, and not of her best friends.

I hope her "hubby" gets his 15 min. of fame now...he's a real hunk *nom nom nom*

I still like Shuya very much, but I've gotten sick of his solo dances for quite a while now. It's the same thing every time, haha. I guess it has to do with fan service. Shuya is undoubtedly the most popular dancer among her Japanese fans, and not to mention he has the most followers among dancers in twitter too :innocent

Maro has been choreographing a few of his solos, and he also choreographed the awful Sunset dance, which is where I could see how SIMILAR their moves are to Shuya's, haha. Maro's a great dancer, but not that good of a choreographer, I guess. Peco and Zin are much better!

He's just... not a very good dancer.

Am I the only one who thinks he looks like some sort of an insect? His eyes are very... Anime-Looking. Lol.

He's just. Yeah. Ayumi needs to stop her obsession with him!
