ShuYa Gained Weight?

I was watching videos of Shu Ya From AT 09 and CDL 09- 10
and then i watched CDL 07-08 and i realised that Shuya looks bigger....
In 07-08 his body was totally flat (mainly his stomach) and he looked extremely fit, and now he still looks fit, but like he has like more gut and stomach
does anyone else find so?

ohsixthirty 24th November 2010 11:14 PM

i've notice the same...he definitely isn't as in shape as he used to be.

Melodie 24th November 2010 11:34 PM

I thought so too when I first watched Future Classics.
Not that he's fat...
He's still able to lift himself off the ground.

similar to gomi..if u saw dome tour he was totally skinny..now he's muscular

emi♡ 25th November 2010 05:13 AM

God. The last thing he needed to do.

love in music 25th November 2010 05:29 AM

yeah I notice the weight in his face too. he also has been looking really old. I'm not sure how old he really is, but he looks like he's in his late 40's.

Misa-chan 25th November 2010 05:34 AM

If I remember correctly, the trio of them (Shu-ya, ZIN, Subaru) just hit 30.

butterfly_ayu 25th November 2010 05:42 AM

^omg~ :thud i always thought they're in their mid-30's or something~

Kanzaki 25th November 2010 05:42 AM

All of the dancers are younger than Ayu, she said so before. I think all of the guys were younger, and the girls (back-up singers) are older than her.

Good if he gained some weight. He's too damn skinny anyway.

AyuGAME 25th November 2010 08:20 AM

i don't notice it...
can someone make a screecaps?

Everyone but Go-mi. He's the older one I think.

And I have to agree. Thank god he gains some! It's not like it's all fat either. Mama needs to see some muscles. :heart

Bruised.Sapphire 25th November 2010 08:36 AM

Screencaps would be helpful~ :yes

Does he smoke? That might account for why he looks older.

Bubbly 25th November 2010 02:14 PM

^
I THINK I saw pics of him with a cigarette, not sure thoug. I only know that gomi is smoking

AyuGAME 25th November 2010 02:20 PM

yes Go-mi is smoking, Shu-ya too...
i saw him smoked, when i attended AT08 at Shanghai...
when rehearsal, her dancer is going in and out building, and there is smoking area outside building where a lot of people can see, and i saw Shu-ya going on there...

roanmy 28th November 2010 12:25 AM

Eww, why do they smoke?! O_o

lividlillies 28th November 2010 12:47 AM

Smoking? Wouldn't that be the last thing they'd want to do as someone who relies on their body for income? I mean, gaining weight, that's fine. It could be muscle, could be some love handles, either way, the amount of weight they'll gain while still performing is negligible and won't affect their health.

Smoking, though? That's proven to be bad for you. Last time I checked, being able to breath was pretty important to dancing. >.>;;

But, whatever makes them happy, I guess?

kagami 28th November 2010 12:51 AM

^I don't think Japan has the same views on smoking as a lot of western countries. I mean, everyone and their dog seems to smoke.

Isn't smoking a common thing in Japan though... Not sure on that.

According to wiki (the most reliable source on the Internet LOL):
Smoking in Japan is much less subject to bans than in many other nations, and Japan accounts for much of the tobacco consumption in Asia. Nearly 30 million people smoke in Japan, making the country one of the world's largest tobacco markets.[1] Japan is one of the last industrialized nations in the world where adult smoking is still widespread; statistics show Japanese men smoke at one of the highest rates in the world.[2] The smoking rate among adults was 29% in 2008, 43% of men and 13% of women.[3] As of 2010, the total smoking rate is 24%, 36.6% of Japanese men and 12.1% of Japanese women;[4] this is the lowest recorded figure since Japan Tobacco began surveying in 1965.[4]

Hopefully Ayu will sack him now.

@Bruised.Sapphire: Your signature!! Thank-you! I was wondering what the tags were, but they were already removed by the time I could check the thread again.

As for smoking in Japan; even if it's popular and isn't banned... wouldn't they know about the health side effects? Or is that just not taught?
