[PV] [do it again] Your opinion?

So what is your opinion about the PV of do it again?

I think the beginning was good but the ending was all boring..
I really loved the effects they made with the camera though.

The dogs reminded me a little bit of the dogs in Lady GaGa's Poker Face video..

but overall the PV didn't make any sense, sense, sense - don't do it again.. :P

YuriChan 21st December 2010 03:26 PM

There's hidden symbolism in the video! ^^;; It's all a dream (which could explain the bright light at the end)! lol

*Ayu_Freak* 21st December 2010 03:46 PM

It's okay
It's not her best PV, but I like it ^^

Tasked 21st December 2010 03:49 PM

it's fantastic.. could have been better with more scenes, and ayu doing more than just walking.. but... fantastic~

ayuPanda 21st December 2010 04:00 PM

is there the same sence like in Sweet Season???

Raleigh 21st December 2010 05:10 PM

I am curious to know why they had a fantastic set, amazing outfits and whatnot and they wasted it on her walking...

i thought it might've been linked with Sweet Season too. overall it was interesting, but kind of boring. i like the effects though! :D

fun fact, the black and white Great Dane in the PV is called a Harlequin, and they're a pretty rare color for Great Danes. :D

It's boring because it's just her walking through destruction.

I think she died on the tragedy and... her spirit didn't notice that, so in the begining of the PV we see her doing usual things, drinking coffee, picking up clothes to walk with her dogs. In the end, she finally 'see the light'.

Or maybe it's just a fuzzy dream.

Pieces_of_SEVEN 21st December 2010 06:17 PM

I thought she died at the end, like it was an explosion. Didn't you guys see the big gas tank?

I've been disappointed by her PVs this year though. I hope ayu stops working with whoever directed them. It's like...the first three minutes are boring, BUT...wait for it, wait for it...oh OK, the rest is boring too.

I think, the basic gist of the PV is that "do it again" occurs very often.

The yoyo spinning, the repeated dance move, the balls juggling, even the camera angles moving are in a circular motion, it's like everything that just keeps repeating and repeating...

I also would like to add that towards the end when she walked to a new area and there were people from the "destruction" area to the "safe" area (u can see ambulances and soldiers), it's like... her moving to somewhere safe and different, and how there seem to be people (I have yet to confirm if these people are the dancers and yoyo boy doing the things before, but if so, it wouldn't explain how the juggler was in the safe area if the purpose of the safe area was to condone the people doing circular/repeated motions).

Anyhow, the "light" at the end, seems to be "the light at the end of the tunnel" to me. How she went from walking in a debris, to a "safe" area, to finally the light. It's not a dream I think, but more like a walk through destruction and how continuing to move on seem to bring you a new beginning/the light. :shrug

But um well, I wasn't very pleased with the PV cos, most of the symbolism in the PV are just a nod to the title, and there doesn't appear to be anything too deep/amazing yet. This tried to be a walking proud/1 LOVE kinda PV but failed imo.. and like what Raleigh said, don't understand why they made such an elaborate set only to barely use it.

The beginning with her in the house was fantastic though; I just wished they didn't make the PV a walking PV with her 2 big dogs... : /

MTE.

I prefer to say it's a Nightmare, not a Dream. :innocent

I really enjoyed it - like just about every PV she shot 2010(Sweet Season and crossroad were a bit meh and Dream ON - well, I haven't seen the full version of that one)

Raiu-Ayu 21st December 2010 06:41 PM

I'm glad I'm not the only one that has absolutely no idea whats going on lol

When I watched it back a few times I get the feeling now that ayu is some kind of natural disaster. I was thinking that ayu is supposed to be like a hurricane or something and is causing all of this destruction around her. I thought the hurricane idea cuz of all the wild camera shots and the bit at the beginning where she is just throwing clothes and the bed covers around then the coffee and milk mix in like a cyclone.

I loved it, it was so interesting. I like how even her album PV's are amazing. Some artists just don't give a ****.

gogirlanime 21st December 2010 08:12 PM

I think the PV got slightly boring because like everyone is saying she just continues to walk, if they had her do a bit more of some other things it would have been perfect.

I LOVED the PV it's super symbolic and means a lot of things, though it's hard to pin down exactly what the PV meant

My take is that it was reality, when she's flipping through the clothes and gets herself super pretty it symbolizes that she had a partner at one point, look at the size of the bed too. But she's "doing it again" because she's in denial of the whole war situation, her character in the PV is so innocent or shocked beyond belief that she continues to do her normal routine and it's not till the end when a huge explosion snaps her into the reality of the situation.

OR my second thought though I think it's more of the above is that she's dreaming it all and the gang behind her is her nightmare but she begins to control her dream with the soldiers (because it's usually when we are about to wake up when we have the most control of our dreams) and then she wakes up (the light)

toniayu 21st December 2010 08:18 PM

i think that the hidden message of the pv is the dark part of the fame, ayu is the fame and the destroyed world is the hidden world of the fame, the light at the end is the end of the life of an artist(the fame) and her cross all her life without enjoy the world.
I think too much xD
-edit-
the lips of ayu are...weird,i think that since july-agoust of this year her lips are different, more bigger and...weird xD

Dustie 21st December 2010 08:22 PM

I think it's about moving on through destruction to new light. Get up from your knees, pull yourself together no matter what, never stop. Move on.

They didn't make an elaborate set - it was all at Universal Studios in LA. The plane crash, for example, is left over from Spielberg's War of the Worlds. You pass through all of that area on the little train tour you can take.

Part of the Last Angel/Love song PV was shot at FOX Studios. If you watch the TV show Bones, you'll recognize the "Royal Diner" from there.

OMG I KNEW IT! I knew I saw that plane crash area somewhere! Just like I thought, it's the set for War of the Worlds. You can see the plane wreckage in the background! :P

legends_asallas 21st December 2010 08:39 PM

imo, whoever decided to include the dogs in the PV needs to be fired. Desperately.

The camera work was enough to make this an amazing PV, it was absolutely fantastic <3

^^What's wrong with the dogs? o.O

I dunno, they made the whole thing very awkward for me to watch. I'd rather just have her walking down the street instead of being dragged by those two giant dogs.

plus I really don't like dogs
