Ayu mentioned in article about stars donations.
Ayu was mentioned in this entry from a wall street journal blog, talking about different stars' and companies' responses to the japan disaster.
Some of the donations are very impressive! Very touching. link |
It's not just the money. But the way she has conducted herself and how she has used twitter to spread information to her followers. That has served to if not save lives, help people cope and get vital news that people may not have otherwise had access to.
The list of reasons to love her just keeps growing! |
Thanks for sharing the blog post. Even they referred AKB48, Namie, Ichiro (our Mariners baseball player!), Clint Eastwood and various notable, familiar companies (Honda, Toyota, Casio, Canon, Panasonic, Nissan, Michelin, and even Goldman Sachs!) about donations. Thanks to everyone (including me, though $10 is enough) who donated to the people in need.

Props to that CEO who donated a billion yen. That's impressive. But anyway, didn't we hear lately that Ayu donated more than that? Or am I just confused?
|
How did a TV anchor donate so much? :O I want to be one now.

Japan will be restored in no time. :)

^ .... i sure hope so but im not so positive, it might take longer, and radiation doesnt leave for years, so that will affect their tourism a lot.

Thanks for the news, I don't think money is the issue of all, the most important is that AYU used her power to save and help a lot of people is the point:)
