So, those of you who have heard the song beloved, what do you think about it? Thoughts and opinions?

i'm listening the first time now, and I absolutelly love it.. the voice sounds just perfect, I love her vibrato & the instrumental is very nice.. it's just purelly beautiful T_T

She sounds great and I like the melody but for once the instrumentation is lacking which is pretty rare. Maybe she wanted it to sound really gentle I don't know...

^I have to agree on the missing instrumental thing, but it's purelly beautiful even this way. But yeah i was waiting for something to happen lol

It's beautiful! It's really different from her ballads. Usually, her ballads are sad. Beloved creates an atmosphere of serenity. It's really rare in her discography.
Of course the song is not original or the most amazing of the world. but I love it. It pacifies my heart!

I like あゆ vocals in this song, but it seems to be boring...I'll wait for live performance ;(

As a song I'd give it like a 6/10 because it just sounds so generic, and the instrumental sounds really cheap. This usually doesn't happen with ayu songs so it's very noticeable. Also, it's way too long. I think sweet, simple ballads like this benefit a lot if they're shorter. If they're over 5 minutes long they need to have more going on to really shine, IE: BALLAD, Virgin Road. Her vocals however are fantastic and the melody isn't bad so I hope the orchestra version can give it a bit more life.

i thought i would love it, but her vocals are so freaking dull. i felt like i was waiting the entire song for it to open up, but it just stays in the middle ground the entire time. yawn.

I can't stop listening! My rating is 8,5/10. :love

I can barely remember the melody cause it's just so boring and sounds like something I've heard already. If it wasn't for her vocals, then I wouldn't listen to this song at all.
I hope the orchestra version will be 100x better

Yeah, this is one of her few songs where I couldn't remember at least the chorus melody after one listen.

I agree that ballads either need to be short or have a lot of oomph. beloved is long and has no oomph, so it's boring.

And I didn't notice at first, but the instrumentation DOES sound really cheap. Maybe it'll sound better in HQ.

It made me smile listening to it. I guess I fell in love with the song instantly. And I'll love it more in HQ. <3

It's beautiful, without a doubt, but I have to agree that it honestly sound like a pretty generic J-Ballad, which is disappointing since we all know Ayu's ballads are really where she shines.

Anyway, that might sound negative but I'm still really enjoying the song XD It's a sweet song, kind of meaning of Love-ish. Really serene and easy to listen to, which means I'm sure it'll get a lot of plays out of me :D

I like it. It just feels like such familiar territory that it's as if I've heard the song about a thousand times from Ayu.

I don't usually like her ballads in general though (with a few exceptions), so that's just me.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks it's bad. It's just so unmemorable and the vocals are awful. Nothing about it stands out at all, and I love her ballads.

However, I still have faith in the pv, even though it has kids in it (ewwwwwwww), the story might make me like the song more, who knows.
