Where did Timmy come from?
 

I've been away from the Ayu universe for a while, and I'm a bit surprised to see that this Timmy guy is just about everywhere now. It seems a bit sinister how he's suddenly gotten so involved, even though I kind of like his cheesy rapping on "NaNaNa." :tipsy

So, where did Ayu find him?

I wanted to ask the same thing! Does anyone know how their paths crossed?

I feel kinda lost too.. like, who is Timmy? I mean, he is the rapper right but is it the same boy that appears in BRILLANTE and NaNaNa PV?

He was in BRILLANTE? Going to rewatch....

Did Ayu find him from youtube? or have I heard false information. I'd like to know the true story.

He was probably referred to her from a mutual friend or something. (Somehow, I bet Go-mi, hahahaha. No, seriously.)

He has been working in Japan for a while though as a 'talent'. I think I saw him on NHK World's imagine-nation when he was a part of that program. Surprisingly, he was in Ryomaden, the 2010 taiga drama, as a foreigner!

I think if someone asks him about how he met Ayu, he'd tell you how it happened.

Yeah, he's in both NaNaNa and BRILLANTE. He's in his 'drag queen' look for BRILLANTE though.

Timmy is Timothy Wellard, a composer. He first was introduced through Twitter last summer. Then he composed BRILLANTE and appeared at the PV. After that he's been with ayu non-stop. They went to NY together to shoot 2012 Calendar, then they went to London, where ayu met his family and where she recorded her new album. Timmy also appeared in NaNaNa pv. He composed several songs from Party Queen album.

Japanese media loves to consider him as ayu's new boyfriend, but ayu calls him "my girlfriend" and she said Timmy had a boyfriend.

I read somewhere Timmy has worked on Ayu's stuff for a while now but has never been so exposed as he is now. Or did I get something wrong?

Anyway, personally I think he's very good at composing music. BRILLANTE didn't really impress me first but now I think it's amazing. He has talent and I really hope he works with Ayu in the future too. :)

He started working with Ayu sometime in early 2011.

His work with her ranges from starring in her concerts since that time to appearing in PVs to being a backup vocalist as well as a composer. Basically, he's a part of just about all aspects of her career musically.

i remember reading somewhere that Timmy is also an opera singer, and has prob been helping Ayu with vocal training too. :yes

I recall in either a tweet or a TA entry that said, "Meet the newest team member, Timmy!" some time last year. I've heard she found him through YouTube or Twitter, but who knows. It would be a good question next time they go overseas and the fans get a chance to talk to him!

He has yet to use anything resembling operatic voice as far as I know(but I haven't watched anything he did that hasn't had to do with Ayumi), he DOES however have noticable choir traning, which also explains all the gospel influences in his compositions.

I think once someone asked him how they met, and he replied it was a funny story but would leave it to Ayu or sth... I don't remember!

I think I read somewhere that ayu saw a...video Timmy did or heard a song he wrote and then she liked it, hooked him up and they've been living happily ever after. Similar thing happened with the whole Sweetbox thing she did in (miss)understood, I think. She heard their songs and decided she wanted to sing songs like that - the rest was the history that is Bold & Delicious. What ayu like, ayu haz.

I always thought he met her through Leslie,since both have become prominent around the same time
