This thread is called "The Artist" because when I typed the name of the upcoming title song (大藝術家) on Google, I discovered that it was The Artist's Chinese title XD

I saw an introduction of the album on Warner TW, so I thought I'd translate part of it
The song, Great Artist, is from a woman's perspective talking about how a boyfriend is a player, but he can still use all sorts of excuses and reasons like he thinks of himself as a great artist searching for inspiration. The song remind girls to be stronger and not to be weak. They must believe in themselves and they can find true love. Jolin spent a long time on recording this because the producer told her the song is very difficult. It's a different-styled dance song and to match with the lyrics, her emotions has to change with it. The rap is also difficult because it has a certain tempo and Jolin was very worried about the rap part. Usually, she can finish recording a song per day, but she recorded this song for many days. One day, she suddenly had inspiration and finished the rap part in one take leaving the producer very happy. They've spent a long time on choosing songs for this album and when they finally chose the songs, they spent even longer on changing the lyrics and arrangement. The photoshoot was shot at the privately owned museum, Musee des Arts Forrains. Since the treasures there are very rare, so this place is not easily opened to others. The museum owner only allowed it after he saw Jolin's dance style and it reminded him of his own treasures, so he rented it to her for NT 800,000. |

Jolin wrote lyrics for this album. List of artists who participated: JJ Lin, Tanya Chua, Peggy Hsu, Wu Tsing Fong from Sodagreen and band Tizzy Bac. Wow if I wasn't already interested in this upcoming release I definitely would be now. This Great Artist song really sounds like it's gonna be epic. I love the two new promo pix as well :luv2.

The song Jolin wrote is called "Beast".
It's weird because media keep saying that she didn't write any song since Kai Chang Bai/The Prologue in Dancing Diva, but she did write Jie Pai Qi/Metronome in Agent J lol |
