Where does "a song is born" belong to?
 

I am organizing my Ayu singles and I wonder where I should put "a song is born" with Keiko? Is this single part of Ayu's discography? Or is it like "Happening Here" which was released under Ayu's name but not as part of her discography?

I have "poker face" to "L" in a folder called "Regular singles", then the reissued singles "poker face" to "TO BE" in "Re-released singles" and "Together When..." and "how beautiful you are" in "Digital singles".

Now tell me, what should I do with "a song is born"? xD

Edit: Maybe I should create a folder called "Charity singles" for "a song is born"? o.ô

Considering A Song is Born is on the I Am album, and she wrote the lyrics to it as well, and is also on her my story classical, it is officially her song. The single version just features KCO as a duet. It's not part of her official list of singles though, so I would rename your digital singles folder "Unnumbered singles" or something similar, and put it there.

My singles folder is set up so each single folder has its official number before it. The reissued singles from 2001 are in numerical order as one. For example, 001 Poker face, 002, YOU, etc, except those folders have the reissue CD rips in them instead of the 1st issued CD rips. It goes on from 001 Poker Face to 050 L. The the singles that weren't given official numbers simple sit at the bottom of the folder with their titles and no numbers in front of them. I see no point in further separating the singles the way you are doing it. Seems to just complicate things. Hope that helps.

If a single like "L" comes in four different versions, I will always gather the tracks from each version and make it one big single folder

Bearing in mind that some of the singles have been released in 1998 and the reissues of them in 2001 I consider them as separate releases, even the format was different back then (8cm discs) :)

Well, I see no point on even having folders for the originals when the 2001 reissues are simply the same tracks with a couple of remixes added. Just my two cents though.

I have it in my Relational folder, with compilations and collaborations. "Dream ON" is in the same folder.

I created a folder called "Other Singles"
I put A song is born, together when, nothing from nothing and hbya

I have it between her official singles...
but I label my singles by release date.

I Just have it with her singles

I'm lazy. The only folders I have are album/ayu-mix folders with their respective songs. Everything other misc item goes in a generic Ayumi Hamasaki folder.

People have Ayu folders? lol i feel so sloppy now
But then again, i just shoved all her albums into one huge playlist...

I think I have it in my singles folder...

I have one folder for her 50 official counting singles and one folder for all other (re-release, remix etc)
