i think kara may have ranked so high because they seem to have had a lot of controversy with their korean label? that's why they were releasing stuff in japan only for a while. they do have some korean stuff out now, though 2012 was when they flooded japan with tons of stuff.

Wow, I'm a little disappointed that Perfume didn't rank higher, but... it's still good that Ayu is ranked much higher than I thought she would be.

I don't get the popularity of AKB48 at all but oh well, Ayu's position is pretty nice. Kuu should've been there too, but OK since this is a search chart anyway.

Is KARA only K-Pop group on the list? If that's so then I'm proud as a K-Pop fan. I don't listen to their music but it's awesome anyway. :D

I have a friend who went over there and she didnt really care for AKB and now, being there for a few months she goes and sings karaoke to them every other night... lol.
Its like you cant get away from it, so you start liking it because its there.
